Original job description

We're hiring one Sales Development Representative to build our outbound sales function from the ground up - with a real, fast path to becoming our SDR Manager. $90K OTE. Toronto, ON, hybrid.

THIS IS AN IN-PERSON ROLE - Toronto, ON only. Not remote. We're unable to offer relocation assistance or employer visa sponsorship. Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in Canada.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Kery Solutions is a Microsoft Fabric and Power BI consulting firm helping food manufacturers and distributors move off spreadsheets and onto modern data platforms. We're building a dedicated strategic sales function - and you'd be the first person to own it.

This isn't a script-reading job. You'll identify the companies that are genuinely a fit, prioritize them using ICP and intent data we've already built, and break through with a coordinated, multi-touch approach - phone, email, LinkedIn, and creative direct-mail touches - not mass cold email. Get the right person on the phone, book them on our founders' calendar, and you've done your job.

Strong performance in your first 90 days is an explicit trigger for a conversation about advancement. The person who makes this work is our leading candidate to become SDR Manager as we build out a team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own strategic, ICP-prioritized outbound - not spray-and-pray

Work a curated list (our first 100 highest-fit companies, 600+ named contacts) and keep expanding it

Run a multi-touch cadence: calls, voicemail, email, LinkedIn, direct mail

Log everything in HubSpot and track your own numbers through our Power BI reporting

Qualify and disqualify fast - no grinding on dead ends

Book qualified intro calls with company executives

Help shape the playbook, not just execute someone else's

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Days 1-30: learn the business, run a small trial batch of outreach

Days 31-60: ramp toward full activity, refine messaging with real data

Days 61-90+: 70-80+ calls/day, 20+ self-sourced leads/week, 25+ new LinkedIn connections/week, 3+ qualified intro calls booked weekly

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Legally authorized to work in Canada, no sponsorship needed

Able to work in-office full-time for the first 90 days

1-3 years of B2B sales development experience with real, multi-channel outreach - phone-first, not just email

Experience in an adjacent field like data/analytics or B2B tech is a plus; food & beverage/manufacturing background is not required

A track record of self-sourcing leads, not just working a list you're handed

Comfortable with a CRM (HubSpot a plus)

Resilient and ambitious - motivated by real upside, not just a paycheck

COMPENSATION

Base salary: CAD $60,000/year

Performance bonus target: an additional CAD $30,000/year, paid quarterly based on qualified intro calls booked, plus a year-end bonus tied to conversions

On-target total compensation: CAD $90,000/year

Real path to SDR Manager as this function scales

Target start date: November 1.
