Original job description

Who We Are

At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level - whether it's cash, cheque, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It's how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K-12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We're headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you're excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

This role is for an active vacancy.

About the Role

The Inside Sales Representative is where momentum meets ownership. You'll run the full sales cycle - prospect, qualify, demo, and close - on deals across our SchoolCash suite: single schools, small and mid-sized districts

Outcome by month 6: full ramp to quota on self-managed velocity pipeline, with accurate forecasting and a healthy mix of new-logo and installed-base expansion wins.

How You'll Contribute

Own the full cycle - from first touch through close - for schools, small/mid-sized districts
Run sharp discovery that surfaces the real problem - a reconciliation headache, a compliance gap, a cash-handling risk - and map it to concrete SchoolCash value.
Navigate K-12 buying reality: bookkeepers, business officials, and procurement timelines tied to the school fiscal calendar and board approval cycles.
Keep a clean pipeline and an honest forecast in the CRM - every stage, next step, and close date current.
Partner with Revenue Marketing to convert demand and hand off larger opportunities cleanly.

Who You Are

You've carried a quota and hit it. 2+ years in a closing or quota-carrying inside sales role, ideally B2B SaaS, with a track record of full-cycle wins - not just meetings booked.
You generate your own pipeline. You're comfortable prospecting daily through phone, email, and social, and you don't wait for leads to land in your lap.
You run real discovery. You ask the questions that get past surface requests, qualify ruthlessly, and know when to walk away from a deal that won't close.
You close and you forecast. You can move a deal through procurement, handle objections without flinching, and call your number accurately.
You live in the CRM and you're coachable. Salesforce hygiene is second nature, you apply feedback fast, and you get better every quarter. (This is a must-have.)

Qualifications and experience

2+ years of proven inside sales or consultative sales experience, with demonstrated success in achieving targets.
Strong telephone sales, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience managing inbound leads and maintaining a structured sales pipeline.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email, and video conferencing platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, confident, personable, and customer-focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

Salary Range - $60,000 - $70,000. The estimated compensation includes an annual on-target variable with uncapped earning potential.

Note: This range reflects expected compensation at the time of posting. Final offers may vary based on skills, experience, location, and internal equity.

Meaningful benefits– Because your well-being matters; both at work and at home.

Flexible PTO – Take the time you need to recharge with close to 4 weeks of vacation and a company-wide holiday closure
Office perks – Enjoy a fully stocked snack bar and occasional catered lunches - because we know that great conversations (and ideas) often start around good food.
