Original job description

KEYENCE CANADA Company Overview

Founded in Japan in 1974, KEYENCE Corporation has grown into a global leader in industrial automation technology - 250 offices, 46 countries, $7.06 billion USD in annual sales, and over 12,261 employees worldwide.

KEYENCE Canada Inc. launched in 2004 and now operates four offices - Mississauga, Montreal, Windsor, and Burnaby - and we're growing fast.

We lead by innovating. Our edge is our direct sales force: highly trained, consultative, and relentless about solving our customers' toughest problems.

The Opportunity for You

This is your shot to learn and master consultative, application-based sales - real problem-solving, not scripted pitches. Our structured training and mentoring program is built to take you from day one to expert.

Expect a fast pace and high standards. You'll spend about two days a week in a professional, energetic office - and the rest out in the field, in front of manufacturers and clients, solving problems face to face.

You'll become the trusted product specialist customers turn to for their toughest quality control, reliability, and R&D challenges. KEYENCE's products are highly technical - But don’t worry we'll train you to be the expert.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide technical consultation and support to customers, helping them solve real-world applications with KEYENCE products across a wide range of industries.

Travel to customer sites three days a week, selling into a diverse mix of manufacturing and related industries.

Advise on and promote the right products and services for each customer's specific application - and back it up with expertise they can trust.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Active listening skills and ability to react customer questions and requests.

Goal-oriented and hard-working, with a genuine drive to make a measurable impact on KEYENCE Canada's success.

Hungry to grow - through intensive training, hands-on mentorship, and a proactive, process-driven sales approach.

Willing to travel 60% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.

Valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

Why Work for KEYENCE

Ranked on Forbes' World's Top 100 “Most Innovative Companies” list - 8 years running.

We hire entry-level only and invest in your growth from day one, building your sales career from the ground up.

Competitive compensation.

Health coverage for you and your family - medical, dental, and vision.

2 weeks of starting vacation and 8 paid personal days.

Paid shutdown over the winter holidays.

Paid 3-month training period plus an ongoing professional development program.

Fully paid travel expenses.

Group RRSP plan after 6 months with KEYENCE.

Real work-life balance with a hybrid way of working.

Supplementary Information

Position requires the ability to lift and carry 30-90lbs of demonstration equipment in and out of vehicles, and through customer facilities with or without reasonable onsite accommodation(s). Incumbents are expected to demonstrate flexibility to manufacturing environments in terms of level of cleanliness, temperature, and/or noise levels. Incumbents must also abide by all safety regulations in offices and customer locations, including wearing safety equipment and /or gear whenever required.
