Original job description

Why Keyrus, Why Now!

Keyrus is an international group of 3,000 consultants and experts across 30 countries, built on a single conviction: AI does not transform businesses. Architected intelligence does. For more than 30 years, we have been building the data foundations that make intelligent systems work, designing the operating system of the intelligent enterprise, where intelligence is embedded into core business processes to create sustainable value. We operationalize intelligence.

AI does not replace humans. It repositions us in areas where human judgment remains essential: understanding, deciding, designing, and creating. At Keyrus, you will not just develop skills; you will develop judgment. Your expertise sharpens with every architecture you design, every platform you modernize, and every client challenge you solve.

Over time, you will grow into one of the rarest professionals of the intelligence era: someone who bridges data, cloud, AI, and business decision-making at scale. This is not simply a role you fill. It is a discipline you master and a story you help write as you become a Keyrus Architect of Intelligence.

Technology amplifies. Keyrus culture differentiates. Industrial discipline connects the two.

Role details

Location: Hybrid - Montreal or Toronto, Canada (2 days per week in the office)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

What you'll architect

As a Senior Consultant - Data & Solution Architect, you will architect modern data ecosystems that enable organizations to transform raw information into scalable intelligence. Combining deep engineering expertise with broader Azure cloud and solution architecture capabilities, you will define target-state architectures, guide delivery teams, and help clients build cloud-native data platforms designed for long-term business impact.

Your responsibilities

Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable target-state data architectures and strategic roadmaps.
Architect end-to-end data platforms, lakehouses, and pipelines using Microsoft Fabric or complementary cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Services.
Design and govern medallion lakehouse architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold) that prioritize scalability, governance, performance, and data quality.
Define scalable and secure integration patterns across the Azure ecosystem, including messaging, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures.
Design and own parameterized ingestion frameworks for batch and near real-time pipelines, including source connectivity across diverse systems (databases, APIs, files, streaming) and on-premises data gateways.
Optimize pipeline and query performance through Spark tuning, partitioning strategies, shortcuts, and incremental loading techniques.
Define and implement CI/CD strategies that enable reliable, automated, and scalable deployments across multiple environments.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Engineers, Analysts, and multidisciplinary delivery teams while ensuring architectural alignment.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches that strengthen clients' data and cloud ecosystems and business capabilities.

Who you are

You combine technical depth with architectural judgment and a consulting mindset. You understand business needs, communicate complex solutions clearly, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to design scalable, reliable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

What you bring

Technical skills

7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or Modern Data Architecture roles.
Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric or complementary cloud technologies, including medallion lakehouse architectures, ingestion frameworks, semantic models, and performance optimization.
Proven client-facing experience, with the ability to articulate and defend an architecture to senior client stakeholders and guide their teams through implementation, including the ability to push back constructively
Exposure to AI, modern data architectures, microservices, or cloud-native application design.

Nice to have

Experience with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Dynamics 365, Business Central, Microsoft Graph, Salesforce, or SAP.
Microsoft Azure or related architecture certifications.

What makes you successful

You combine technical depth with a consulting mindset, moving comfortably between business conversations and technical design.
You communicate clearly, challenge ideas constructively, and provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams.

What we offer at Keyrus

A stimulating environment where you can challenge yourself and discover new horizons.
A strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Opportunities to celebrate success through team activities, social events, and special celebrations.
Comprehensive group insurance for you and your family.
RRSP and DPSP participation plans.
Monthly wellness allowance.
Telecommunication reimbursement.
4 weeks of paid vacation.
Language courses (French and English).
Access to continuous learning through certifications, conferences, training programs, and industry events.

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 CAD, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range is provided as a guideline and may be adjusted for the selected candidate.

About Keyrus

At Keyrus, we help organizations move from experimental AI to industrialized AI, from isolated agents to orchestrated systems, and from insight to execution.

Powered by our proprietary Human Orchestrated Model™ (HOM), we build intelligent environments around three pillars: Intelligence Foundations, Human in Command, and Performance Steering.

With 30+ years of expertise across 30 countries, we design intelligent systems that amplify human capabilities and create sustainable business value.

AI does not transform businesses. Architected intelligence does.
