About KICKR
KICKR is a 7-a-side soccer league in Toronto for men 18+. Players sign up on their own and we place them on balanced teams for the month. Our nights use the King's Court format: three teams, 10-minute games, and the winner stays on. Every game is filmed and every player is rated, so accurate, confident officiating matters. Our first winter season starts Thursday, November 5, 2026, at a domed stadium in Toronto (Central Tech Stadium or Monarch Park Stadium).
The role
We are looking for certified referees to officiate our match nights. You will run fast, short-format games and keep the pace high and play safe. You will also record results live in the KICKR app.
What you'll do
- Officiate King's Court games during evening league hours
- Apply the KICKR rules consistently, including no slide tackles, turf shoes only, and our conduct standards
- Manage player behaviour with professionalism, issuing yellow and red cards where needed
- Start and end each game in the KICKR app, and record goals and results accurately in real time
- Run the penalty tiebreak in the monthly final when it is needed
- Report incidents and injuries to league management after each night
- Arrive on time for every scheduled night and stay until the night is closed
What we're looking for
- A valid, standard referee certification
- Strong knowledge of the Laws of the Game and comfort adapting them to a small-sided format
- Calm, clear communication and the confidence to manage competitive adult players
- Punctual and reliable, with consistent availability for scheduled league nights
- Comfortable using a smartphone app during games
- Good fitness for repeated short, high-intensity games
Nice to have
- Experience officiating futsal, 5-a-side or 7-a-side
- First aid or CPR certification
What we offer
- $20 per hour, part-time
- A consistent weekly evening schedule
- A professional, well-organised environment with clear rules and league staff on site
- The chance to grow with a new league in Toronto
How to apply
Apply through this LinkedIn posting. Please include your referee certification details and your evening availability.
