Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.
In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.
We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.
Edge Transport is growing and currently looking to recruit experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work. You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver. This role is open dispatch and you will run through SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.

Responsibilities
Operate a highway tractor as an owner-operator, transporting freight on triaxle or tandem flat decks through open dispatch routes across Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. Support freight services that include full truckload, less-than-truckload, heavy haul, over-dimensional transport, and drayage.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a Class 1A driver’s license, have at least two years of highway driving experience, and have at least one year of flat or step deck experience. They must provide a highway tractor, be willing to work open dispatch, maintain a clean driving abstract with no suspensions, and pass criminal record and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
