The Opportunity

Salary Range: $125k - $130k annual. Exact compensation may vary depending on the individual experience and qualifications of each candidate. Applicants with greater or less than the minimum qualifications for this posted opportunity may be considered for alternate opportunities.

Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

Kinectrics is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and strengthen recruitment strategies and practices that enable Kinectrics to attract, assess, select, and hire high-quality talent across the organization in Canada and internationally.

In this role, you will report to the Director Talent Management & Recruitment; you will partner closely with leaders to develop and execute recruitment strategies, support workforce plans, strengthen sourcing and selection practices, and ensure an effective and consistent candidate and hiring-manager experience.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, early careers, and leading recruitment activities within a complex engineering, consulting or technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead talent acquisition strategies and recruitment activities across Kinectrics, including international recruitment
Personally lead searches, including senior level, technical and engineering roles with narrow candidate pools.
Support and coach recruiters to deliver high-quality, timely recruitment outcomes
Build recruiter capability in intake consulting, interviewing best practices, market mapping and closing candidates.
Partner with HR Advisors and business leaders to understand workforce requirements, hiring priorities, and critical talent needs
Develop and implement effective sourcing, assessment, selection, and recruitment practices and build proactive pipelines for specialized and difficult-to-fill roles
Lead Early Careers recruitment and build strategic relationships with universities, colleges, technical schools, co-op offices, and other educational partners
Strengthen the candidate and hiring-manager experience, employer brand, and use recruitment data and insights to improve talent acquisition outcomes

Prior Experience & Qualifications

Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or Engineering, CHRL designation or equivalent an asset
Minimum eight years of progressive talent acquisition or recruitment experience, including at least 3 years’ experience leading recruiters or a talent acquisition function in an engineering, consulting, or technical environment
Excellent influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with sound judgement and
Experience developing sourcing strategies and pipelines, building employer brands and managing complex recruitment requirements, and improving recruitment processes
Experience with Early Careers, campus, student and/or graduate recruitment and developing relationships with educational institutions
Experience supporting recruitment across multiple business units, locations or jurisdictions
Experience with Workday, recruitment metrics/analytics, and unionized environment highly desired

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
