Our client is a well-established Canadian distributor of engineered electrical products and infrastructure solutions, supporting utility providers, contractors, municipalities, and industrial customers across the country. With an extensive product portfolio, strong manufacturer partnerships, and a reputation for technical expertise and customer service, the organization plays an important role in supporting Canada's evolving electrical infrastructure.
As investment in electrical grid modernization, renewable energy, electrification, and infrastructure expansion continues to grow, our client is well-positioned to capitalize on increasing demand for specialized products and technical solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to support continued business development and customer growth throughout Quebec, with a preference for candidates based in the Greater Montreal Area. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys developing business, working with technical products, and building long-term customer partnerships within an established and growing industry.
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships within an assigned territory, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of electrical utility and infrastructure products. Working closely with customers, manufacturer partners, and internal sales teams, the successful candidate will provide practical solutions to customer requirements while contributing to continued territory growth and market development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Promote electrical products and solutions to utilities, contractors, industrial customers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and technical solutions.
- Prepare and present competitive proposals and quotations in collaboration with internal sales resources.
- Develop new business opportunities through regular customer visits, networking, and market development activities.
- Work with manufacturer partners to introduce new products, technologies, and solutions.
- Monitor market activity, customer requirements, and competitive developments to support territory growth.
We are interested in speaking with motivated sales professionals who bring a combination of commercial experience, technical aptitude, and strong relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within electrical distribution, utility infrastructure, industrial products, or a related technical marketplace.
- Experience developing customer relationships and managing an assigned sales territory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate their value to customers.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong French communication skills, with English proficiency considered an asset.
- A customer-focused approach with a demonstrated commitment to service and long-term business relationships.
- Based in Quebec, preferably within the Greater Montreal Area, with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Experience within the electrical utility sector would be considered an asset; however, candidates from related technical distribution or industrial sales environments are encouraged to apply.
This position offers the opportunity to join an established organization operating in an essential and expanding segment of the Canadian economy. The successful candidate will benefit from:
- An established market presence and strong industry reputation.
- Access to an extensive portfolio of products and respected manufacturer partners.
- Opportunities to develop long-term relationships with customers across critical infrastructure markets.
- Support from experienced technical, inside sales, and operational teams.
- A stable business environment with opportunities for professional growth and career development.
- The opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion of business throughout Quebec.
If you have experience in technical or industrial sales and are interested in exploring a career opportunity within Canada's growing electrical infrastructure marketplace, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
