    • Monitor shipment progress, provide proactive status updates, and address any service issues or delays as they arise.
    • Review freight rates, cost sheets, and invoicing to ensure accuracy and maintain profitability.
    • Coordinate cargo pickups, warehouse activities, and shipment consolidations as required.
    • Maintain accurate shipment records within the company’s freight management system and ensure timely data entry.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams by providing operational guidance, routing recommendations, and support with quotations.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve export processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
    • Provide departmental support and coverage during peak workloads, employee vacations, and unexpected absences.

What You Bring

    • Formal education in a related field, with CITT or CIFFA certification preferred, combined with two to four years of relevant industry experience and/or training; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and company procedures.
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare routine reports, correspondence, and other business documentation.
    • Effective verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently interact with customers, colleagues, and groups within the organization.
    • Solid mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, ratios, percentages, and measurements such as area, circumference, and volume.
    • Proficient in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications and routine database management and data entry activities.
