WE'RE NOT YOUR AVERAGE SALES JOB

Kitchen Makeovers is a family-run company that gives kitchens a whole new look by refacing and refinishing cabinets instead of ripping them out. Homeowners get a kitchen they love again without the cost, waste and mess of a full reno. It's a product people are relieved to hear exists, and you're the one telling them.

Our marketing books more consultations than our team can get to, and that's why this seat is open. We need someone who can listen, help a homeowner see what their kitchen could look like, put a real number on the table and ask for the decision that day. In-home sales experience is ideal. If you've sold something else and have the people skills and the drive, we'll train you on kitchens.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Running 5 to 10 company-booked in-home consultations a week across the Lower Mainland, from West Vancouver to Chilliwack, in a company Tesla

Asking the questions that get to what the homeowner really wants, then measuring and scoping the kitchen

Walking them through door styles, colours, finishes, hardware and organizers, and helping them land on the right combination for their home and budget

Pricing the job at the table and asking for the decision that day, with financing options when it helps

Following up on every estimate that doesn't close on the spot, by phone, text and email, until it's a yes or a clear no

Running phone and video estimates for smaller jobs and online quote requests (we're building this out and you'll help shape it)

Building your own pipeline on top of what marketing brings in: past estimates, past customers, designers, contractors, realtors and anyone else who sends people our way

Working our home show booths a few times a year, weekends included

Logging every appointment and follow up in Pipedrive, Jobber and Google Sheets the same day, and recording every consult in SalesAsk so we can coach you on real calls

Handing off sold jobs cleanly so production builds exactly what you sold, and asking happy customers for reviews and referrals

A HEADS-UP ABOUT THE SCHEDULE

You get a lot of say over your own calendar, but the calendar is built around homeowners, not the clock. Some customers can only do 7AM or 7PM. Some call at 8 at night, and if you want to sell the job, you answer. You'll work some evenings and weekends, plus home shows a few times a year, and you'll spend real time in the car. Some days it's Richmond, Coquitlam and Langley before dinner. If you need a 9 to 5 and a desk, this probably isn't the best fit.

Average work week: about 40 hours, scheduled around your appointments.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

You've got 1+ years selling something considered face to face (kitchens, closets, windows, flooring, bath, HVAC, solar, vehicles) and you hit your numbers. In-home sales is ideal, but we'll train the right person on kitchens

You listen more than you pitch, and people trust you fast

You're comfortable putting a real number on the table and asking for the business, without being pushy

You follow up like you mean it. "We need to think about it" doesn't scare you off

You build relationships that bring you business. Designers, contractors, realtors, past customers. You don't wait for the office to fill your calendar

You're okay being recorded. Every consult is recorded in SalesAsk and reviewed for coaching. If that makes you uncomfortable, this isn't the role. If it makes you better, you'll love it here

You're coachable and willing to work our way, then help make it better

You're polite, professional and presentable in customer homes

You have a valid driver's licence and a clean abstract (you'll be driving a company Tesla)

Bonus points if you have experience with:

Kitchen, cabinet or refacing sales

Measuring and scoping kitchens in the home

Presenting consumer financing

Working trade shows or home shows

A sales method you've actually studied

A second language spoken in the Lower Mainland

WHAT YOU GET

$38,000 base salary plus 5% commission on everything you sell, uncapped. Roughly $110K at target, more if you beat it

Commission paid 30% when the contract is signed and 70% when the job is complete, so you're not waiting months for your money

Requirements

Applicants should have at least one year of successful face-to-face sales experience, strong listening and relationship-building skills, and the ability to confidently present pricing, close sales, and follow up. A valid driver's licence and clean driving abstract are required; in-home sales experience is ideal, and kitchen-specific training is available.
