Original job description

Our client, an established construction and paving business, is seeking a Construction Manager to support their growing business in Southern Ontario. This role calls for a relationship-driven professional who combines proven people leadership with technical paving and road building expertise.

A high-impact, visible position, the Construction Manager is responsible for providing guidance to Project Superintendents, visiting job sites and supporting safety, quality, and operational best practices. Reporting to the General Manager, the Construction Manager will analyze data and collaborate on budget creation to ensure project targets are met. A high degree of autonomy, initiative, and travel flexibility is required to effectively manage a territory and support teams across multiple locations.

Our ideal candidate is a proven people leader with at least 10 years of civil construction industry experience. A post-secondary education in civil engineering, construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline will be highly regarded, as will experience with sewer and underground construction. An equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience will be considered. Prior experience using an ERP system will be an asset. Joining this respected organization means taking on an outward-facing leadership role, applying hands-on technical expertise while building relationships with customers and internal groups alike.

Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $100 000 - $140 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.

At Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc., we provide a bespoke and personalized recruitment experience where every candidate’s application is reviewed by our team of Search Consultants and measured to our clients’ specific hiring criteria and requirements. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not used in selecting a candidate within our detailed and professional recruitment process.
