Original job description
KEC has partnered with a growing manufacturer of engineered industrial products to support their search for a Production Planner for their facility in Palmerston, ON. Operating within a network of manufacturing plants and distribution centres that serve North America, Europe and beyond, the Production Planner is a critical link between production, supply chain, and logistics. The environment is characterized by a high-mix, high-volume production model where priorities can shift quickly, requiring a Planner who is organized, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions under changing conditions.
Supporting the Plant Manager, the Production Planner will be responsible for production scheduling, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives for a facility employing approximately 100 people. The Production Planner will work closely with floor resources to coordinate material availability, schedule customer orders, and ensure delivery commitments can be met. Prior experience with modern ERP/MRP systems, forecasting, demand planning, and advanced Excel is essential, along with the ability to effectively balance local plant requirements with the broader objectives of the organization.
Our ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of planning experience within a manufacturing environment involving manpower, equipment, materials, and production resources. A post-secondary education in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with an APICS certification. Equally important are strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a visible presence on the plant floor. In return, our Client offers long-term stability, continued growth, and the opportunity to contribute to a well-established manufacturing business with a strong future.
Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $70 000 - $80 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
At Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc., we provide a bespoke and personalized recruitment experience where every candidate’s application is reviewed by our team of Search Consultants and measured to our clients’ specific hiring criteria and requirements. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not used in selecting a candidate within our detailed and professional recruitment process.
