Original job description

Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. has partnered with our Client, an established manufacturer of highly engineered, precision components serving demanding and regulated industries, in their search for an accomplished Senior Program Manager. Reporting to the Division Manager, the Sr. Program Manager will oversee the small Engineering Department, ensuring technical resources and priorities effectively support manufacturing performance, customer requirements, and business objectives. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Sales, and customers, the Sr. Program Manager will play a critical role in improving production efficiencies, supporting new product introductions, and maintaining stringent safety, quality, and delivery standards.

The Senior Program Manager will direct engineering activities encompassing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), manufacturing process development, technical risk assessments, new product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives. A key responsibility will involve supporting customer RFQs through technical feasibility assessments, manufacturability reviews, tooling requirements, process development, and cost analysis. This role will also support capital equipment projects including technical specifications, investment justification, implementation, and commissioning. Maintaining effective engineering documentation, configuration control, and engineering change management processes will be essential to meeting the demanding quality and regulatory requirements of our client's manufacturing environment.

As a member of the Management Team, the Sr. Program Manager will oversee departmental planning, resource allocation, project execution, and the coaching and development of engineering personnel. This highly visible role requires an individual capable of balancing competing operational priorities while applying sound technical judgment and analytical problem-solving skills to complex manufacturing challenges. Through effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers, the Sr. Program Manager will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, strengthen quality performance, and ensure engineering deliverables consistently support production and customer commitments.

Our ideal candidate will possess a University Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, complemented by a minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities within precision manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated industries. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility for registration, would be considered an asset. We are searching for Candidates with a solid understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, APQP, quality management systems, engineering change control, and technical documentation, as well as prior experience utilizing CAD applications such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and ERP/MRP systems.

Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $90 000 - $110 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.

At Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc., we provide a bespoke and personalized recruitment experience where every candidate’s application is reviewed by our team of Search Consultants and measured to our clients’ specific hiring criteria and requirements.
