Job Posting: Therapy Services Manager in Beautiful Northern BC

Kitimat CDC is seeking a Therapy Services Manager to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for our early years therapy and family support services. This position plays an important role in ensuring children with developmental needs and their families receive timely, high-quality, family-centred, and evidence-informed services.

Working closely with the Executive Director and interdisciplinary team, the Therapy Services Manager will support service excellence, team effectiveness, professional growth, quality improvement, and the ongoing development of programs aligned with best practices and the Centre’s strategic priorities.

Position Details

Salary range: The salary range for this position is CAD $42.80 - $59.01 / hour depending on education.

What You’ll Do

As the Therapy Services Manager, you will:

Provide leadership, supervision, and operational oversight to therapy and family support staff.
Lead, coach, motivate, and support staff while fostering a positive, collaborative, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
Support staff with communication, workload, performance, and practice-related concerns.
Lead onboarding, mentoring, cross-training, and professional development initiatives.
Support recruitment, selection, orientation, retention, and performance management.
Ensure staff follow organizational policies, professional standards, ethical requirements, and best-practice guidelines.
Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies, procedures, service standards, and quality assurance processes.
Monitor caseloads, waitlists, service trends, referral patterns, outcomes, and program data to support planning and continuous improvement.
Work with the Executive Director to support budget planning, staffing, resource allocation, and operational decision-making.
Identify service gaps and operational challenges and develop practical solutions to strengthen service quality and access.
Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools, health professionals, Indigenous and community partners, funders, and other service providers.
Represent the program professionally in internal and external meetings and contribute to organizational planning and initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

A Master’s degree, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with significant progressive leadership and management experience.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience in child and family, health, social, educational, or interdisciplinary services.
Experience with staff supervision, team development, program coordination, and operational oversight.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and support staff.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing challenging conversations and resolving workplace concerns in a professional and constructive manner.
Strong understanding of child development, developmental disabilities, inclusion, family-centred practice, culturally responsive service delivery, and integrated service planning.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A commitment to continuous quality improvement, ethical practice, respectful workplace principles, and the mission and values of Kitimat CDC.

Additional Requirements

Successfully complete and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening where required.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel and meetings.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, manage sensitive information, and uphold professional boundaries.
