Job Description

The Associate Director, Creative Production leads the delivery of broadcast, video, and integrated content from early creative development through final asset delivery. Working closely with Creative, Client Services, Project Management, internal production teams, and external partners, this role translates creative ideas into well-scoped, executable productions. The role balances creative quality, production feasibility, budgets, timelines, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder needs across Canadian and U.S. client work. Production leadership in this role means owning and guiding the work rather than directly managing a team.

What You’ll Do

Lead broadcast, video, and integrated content productions from concept, pre-production, and shoot through post-production, trafficking, and final asset delivery.
Develop accurate scopes, production approaches, schedules, and budgets, right-sizing resources and recommendations to the creative idea and client requirements.
Partner with Creative, Client Services, Project Management, internal video teams, and production operations to scope requests, resolve production challenges, and resource work effectively.
Source and manage production companies, directors, studios, talent, and other external partners, including vendor RFPs, casting, contracting, union requirements, and production compliance.
Guide production teams and junior colleagues through pre-production meetings, shoots, and delivery while serving as a confident production lead and consultative partner to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

6–7+ years of hands-on integrated production experience with a strong broadcast or commercial video focus, including ownership of projects from pre-production through final delivery.
Demonstrated experience producing live-action, animation, or hybrid content, supported by a reel, case studies, or project examples showing end-to-end production ownership.
Experience building production scopes and budgets, managing vendor bids or RFPs, and working with production companies, directors, studios, and external partners on commercial-quality deliverables.
Experience producing within a regulated industry or regulatory environment, with examples of navigating legal, contracts, risk, compliance, or approval requirements as part of production delivery.
Experience with union and non-union productions in Canada and/or the U.S., including casting or working with ACTRA and/or SAG-AFTRA talent on professional productions.

Desired:

Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
Experience in an agency, client-side marketing organization, or creative production environment working directly with creative teams and client or senior stakeholders across multiple projects.
Experience delivering broader 360 or integrated production such as social, experiential, influencer, stills, audio, or other content formats alongside broadcast/video work.
Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences marketing, or demonstrated exposure to another highly regulated client environment.
Experience guiding junior production colleagues, presenting production recommendations to stakeholders, or leading complex productions without formal direct-report responsibility; proficiency with tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace is an asset.
