Registered Nurse (RN) - Private Wellness Clinic

We are looking for a highly skilled, adaptable Registered Nurse to join our growing private wellness clinic
in Oakville. This is an in-person clinical and clinic-operations role - we need an RN who is not only
clinically competent, but also organized, proactive, resourceful, and able to help keep the entire clinic
running smoothly.
The ideal candidate thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, supporting multiple practitioners and
patients at once, anticipating needs before being asked, and moving seamlessly between clinical duties
and front-desk/administrative responsibilities.
What You will Do
Practitioner & Patient Support
Support physicians, NPs and other practitioners with basic clinical needs, vitals, and patient flow
throughout the day.
Welcome patients and completes a nursing intake and assessment as appropriate.
Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and
weight as appropriate.
Review relevant medical history, medications, allergies and treatment considerations.
Identify potential contraindications or concerns and escalate appropriately.
Anticipate what practitioners and patients need throughout the visit, rather than waiting to be
directed.
Help manage patient flow across multiple practitioners and treatment areas, prioritizing
effectively when things get busy.
Communicate with the physician, NP or other appropriate regulated healthcare professional
when required.
Clinical Skills & Judgment
Exercise sound clinical judgment, recognizing and prioritizing concerns in a multidisciplinary
setting.
Perform venipuncture and initiate IV access as required.
Administer prescribed IV treatments in accordance with established clinical protocols and within
your scope of practice (the clincs IV/infusion program is an area of planned growth, and this RN
will help support it as it expands).
Monitor patients throughout treatment and ensure their comfort and safety.
Recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in patient condition.
Provide clear, professional patient education and after-care instructions.
Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical documentation.
Follow all infection-prevention, medication-safety and emergency procedures.
Problem-Solving, Communication & De-escalation
Remain calm and professional in unexpected situations or when a patient is upset, knowing
what can be managed independently versus what needs to be escalated.
Communicate clearly with patients - explaining instructions, treatment information and next
steps in a way that it is easy to understand.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, practitioners and administrative staff to
keep the clinic running smoothly.
Clinic Operations & Front Desk
Create a warm, professional and welcoming experience for every patient.
Answer phones, emails and general patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm and manage appointments.
Check patients in and out, and process payments.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using clinic EMR/administrative systems.
Keep reception and treatment areas clean, organized and welcoming.
Monitor and restock clinical and office supplies.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Support the overall day-to-day operation of the clinic.
We are Looking For Someone Who Is
A Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Current in CPR/BLS certification.
Highly adaptable, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills - especially when supporting
multiple practitioners and patients simultaneously.
Proactive and able to anticipate needs rather than always requiring direction.
Skilled in problem-solving and de-escalation, staying calm and professional under pressure.
A strong communicator, able to clearly relay information to patients and coordinate effectively
between patients, practitioners and administration.
Comfortable performing patient assessments and monitoring independently, with sound clinical
judgment.
Experienced and confident with venipuncture and IV initiation.
Proficient with EMR systems and general computer/administrative tools.
Professional, reliable, highly organized and detail-oriented.
Warm, personable and genuinely enjoys working with patients.
Comfortable providing a high level of customer service in a private-clinic setting.
Able to move comfortably between clinical responsibilities and front-desk/administrative duties.
Experience That Is an Asset
Previous experience in any of the following would be considered an asset:
IV therapy or infusion nursing.
Private medical or wellness clinics.
Medical aesthetics.
Family practice.
Outpatient nursing.
Multidisciplinary or multi-practitioner clinical settings.
Patient-facing concierge or private healthcare environments.
