Quality Control Manager

Koler Builders is a construction and general contracting firm that specializes in ground up construction in the residential and ICI space as well as retrofit to existing structures. Our team of experts provides comprehensive and cost-effective services for our clients, from the pre-development phase through to project completion. Koler Builders is wholly-owned by Byron Equities, a global real estate investment firm.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead, develop, and execute the project-specific Quality Management Plan across our active job sites. In this role, you will ensure all construction operations meet strict engineering designs, contractual specifications, municipal building codes, and corporate standards.

• Quality Program Management:

Establish, update, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Programs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and compliance frameworks.

• On-Site Inspections: Conduct regular, hands-on field walkthroughs to verify that work methods, structural elements, and finishes align perfectly with approved drawings and specifications.

• Deficiency & Non-Conformance Tracking: Issue formal non-conformance reports (NCRs) and notices when work falls short of standards. Collaborate actively with project supers and subcontractors to investigate root causes and approve technical rectification proposals.

• Materials & Submittal Verification: Review bidder quality plans, verify that incoming materials match approved submittals, and ensure proper storage and installation techniques are used.

• Testing & Commissioning Coordination: Schedule and oversee third-party material testing (e.g., concrete, soil compaction, welds) and track results.

• Documentation & Closeout: Maintain meticulous, audit-ready quality control records, daily logs, and sign-offs to streamline final project commissioning and handover. Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of direct experience in construction quality control or project management within residential and ICI sectors.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction means, methods, structural specifications, and structural/architectural drawings.

• Regulatory Mastery: Strong working knowledge of local building codes, safety guidelines, and standard testing methodologies.

• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to address sub-standard work firmly while maintaining collaborative, professional relationships with field teams.

• Tech Savvy: Proficient with modern construction management and quality platforms (e.g. Jonas Premier, BIM 360, Power BI).
