Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Your work matters. As part of our Audit & Assurance practice, you’ll deliver high‑quality work that supports trust, transparency, and confidence across both public and private organizations. We foster an environment of high challenge, where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged. Through high support, including progressive learning, strong coaching, inclusive teamwork, and a shared commitment to integrity, we perform at our best – measuring what matters, recognizing impact, and continuously evolving to deliver excellence. This creates a culture where the best work happens when high challenge and high support work together. That balance is how our values show up – in how we work, how we lead, and what we deliver

KPMG’s ESG Assurance Services practice provides ESG assurance services to clients in both the corporate and public sectors. Core services include ESG assurance and GHG accounting services. What You Will Do

Executing as part of an assurance team in the delivery of sustainability-related engagements, including sustainability report assurance, greenhouse gas (GHG) assurance, GHG verifications and renewable fuels verification.
Develop and/or review of existing current state of GHG emissions inventory to assess organizational and operational boundaries, understand calculation methodologies, assess completeness and accuracy of data.
Work with broader KPMG advisory teams including Management Consulting, Risk Consulting and ESG Services, in support of ESG reporting implementation projects including process/control redesign and advising on other business implications to your clients when assessing the impact of sustainability reporting requirements.
Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.
Coach team members to their highest potential.
Support client relationships and business development initiatives such as drafting proposals.

What You Bring To The Role

3+ years in financial statement and/or ESG assurance
Enrollment or completion of CPA PEP or international equivalent per CPA Canada guidelines required
Knowledge of leading sustainability disclosure frameworks (ISSB, CSRD, GRI, SASB, Integrated Reporting etc.) and ESG issues
Excellent written and oral communication skills (including preparation of technical memos and presentations), with the ability to ‘uncomplicate the complicated’ by expressing ideas clearly, convincingly and concisely to both external and internal stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver assignments on time, as well as manage competing demands, without sacrificing attention to detail
Experience with sustainability disclosure and reporting frameworks and sustainability assurance standards (e.g. ISAE 3000, ISAE 3410, ISO 14064)

Adjustments and accommodations throughout the recruitment process

At KPMG, we are committed to fostering an inclusive recruitment process where all candidates can be themselves and excel. We aim to provide a positive experience and are prepared to offer adjustments or accommodations to help you perform at your best. Adjustments (informal requests), such as extra preparation time or the option for micro breaks during interviews, and accommodations (formal requests), such as accessible communication supports or technology aids, are tailored to individual needs and role requirements. AI technologies used in our recruitment process undergo detailed risk assessments, including security and privacy requirements, that align with KPMG’s Trusted AI framework.
