The Department of Professional Practice (DPP) develops firm standards and guidance relating to financial and sustainability reporting, audit and assurance, securities and engagement performance quality matters; provides technical guidance to engagement teams on engagement- specific issues; develops and disseminates specific guidance on emerging technical, professional and quality issues; and assists with firm and individual issues pertaining to compliance with regulatory and professional standards including supporting teams in the performance of quality engagements.

As a Senior Manager with DPP, you will be focused on initiatives designed to drive the consistent performance of high-quality audit and assurance engagements and supporting our audit practice nationally.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with others in DPP and the business to identify quality risks and develop and design processes, training, support resources to address the gaps.
Lead facilitator for delivery of training courses virtually and in-person as required.
Develop measurement framework to assess knowledge and competency of professional services personnel and develop tools for measurement where applicable.
Support the DPP Audit and Risk with Audit Quality Initiatives where needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally to advance integration of specialists in the audit, developing processes, tools, and training including delivery of training where required.
Developing, updating, and delivering training sessions, where applicable.
Developing, enhancing, and maintaining Canadian content related.
Collaborate on other ad hoc audit quality projects as required.

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum 5 years of experience in the audit practice.
CPA Designation or equivalent education.
Dedication and strong work effort.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excels at delivering presentations to variety of audiences.

KPMG Ontario Region pay range information

The expected base salary range for this position is $119,000 to $169,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $110,500 to $165,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
