· Draft technical memos, instruction letters to legal counsel, and client reporting letters for review by senior team members

· Review tax provisions for larger audit and non-audit clients

· Collaborate with clients and team members to gather information and support tax initiatives

· Communicate with the CRA on various tax matters

· Support and work with senior staff with the execution of corporate tax planning and compliance initiatives

What you bring to the role:

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm within the last 2 years or ideally currently in a similar role.

· CPA designation completed.

· CPA’s In-Depth Tax Program completed or in progress

· Minimum of two years' experience with both private (i.e., CCPCs) and public companies, including tax provisions and compliance experience. Experience with non-profit and/or tax-exempt entities and investment funds is an asset.

· Strong understanding of assurance and audit, including previous experience with tax provisions, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting principles.

· Experience building and maintaining income tax models to support planning and compliance work

· Strong written and verbal communication skills applied in professional client and team settings

· Experience managing multiple priorities and clients while meeting deadlines in a client service environment

· Ability to research tax issues and apply findings to planning, compliance, and advisory work

· Strong client service skills, with the ability to understand client businesses and maintain effective working relationships.

· Fluency in English is required.
