We are looking for an HR Governance & Quality Manager to leads the day-to-day operation of the HR SoQM Office by planning, coordinating, and monitoring HR’s annual quality management workplan and recurring SoQM activities. The role partners with HR SoQM Process Owners and Control Operators, HR Business Owners, and the Firm’s SoQM Quality and Testing & Remediation teams to support risk assessment, scoping, control design and implementation, governance reporting, stakeholder enablement, remediation, and continuous improvement of HR’s quality management practices.

This is an opportunity for someone with experience with internal controls, governance, or quality management who enjoys improving the way organizations work. You'll use your technical knowledge in a collaborative role where you'll help turn quality management requirements into practical processes, tools, and guidance that support HR's day-to-day work.

What you will do

Manages the day-to-day operation of the HR SoQM Office by planning, coordinating, and monitoring HR’s annual quality management workplan and recurring SoQM activities.

Partners with HR Business Owners and other stakeholders to improve HR processes, strengthen controls, and integrate SoQM requirements into day-to-day operations.

Support risk assessment and scoping as part of control design and implementation to ensure controls are focused on the right quality risks and business processes.

Supports HR with responding to findings and observations, conducting root cause analyses, remediation planning and timely resolution.

Through cross-functional collaboration, contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal processes, control design, policies, and procedures.

Develop practical guidance, learning resources, tools and ongoing support to help HR stakeholders understand and carry out their quality management responsibilities. Serves as key point of contact for operational guidance on HR SoQM activities.

Develops and maintains documentation and knowledge resources that support consistent execution of HR’s SoQM responsibilities.

Provides governance, operational, analytical, and coordination support for recurring and emerging HR SoQM priorities, including the SoQM KPI program, quarterly exit interview reporting, GPS Action Plan updates, and related management updates.

What you bring to the role

3-5 years’ experience with internal controls, audit, governance, quality management, compliance, or process improvement, preferably in a professional services environment, required.
CPA, CIA, CRMA, CISA designation preferred.
Experience reviewing, documenting, or improving business processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a practical and straightforward way.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and influence outcomes without formal authority.
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a strong asset.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in English at a business level is required.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support and collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate will be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, employment laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
