Here, you can build momentum, gain exposure to a variety of areas, develop lifelong skills, and take charge of your career, with support every step of the way. Join a firm where your career can truly make a difference.
KPMG's International Corporate Tax practice continues to expand its support for multinational organizations navigating cross-border tax matters and the evolving global tax landscape. These organizations face increasing demand for tax compliance, implementation, and advisory services related to the OECD's Pillar Two framework, as well as international tax planning, reorganizations, and transaction tax matters.
In this role, you will lead complex compliance and advisory engagements for multinational organizations and provide guidance on cross-border tax issues and global tax developments. You will work closely with clients and senior leadership to deliver practical tax solutions, support the development of junior team members, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
What you will do
- Conduct technical research and provide practical recommendations on complex cross-border tax issues.
- Advise clients on tax savings opportunities related to international tax planning, restructuring, transactions, and organizational changes.
- Review tax analyses, calculations, and engagement deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
- Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for ongoing engagements.
- Collaborate with Partners, Senior Managers, and specialists across Tax, Legal, and Transaction Advisory Services to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support multinational clients with international expansion initiatives, acquisitions, divestitures, financing structures, and reorganizations.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, including reviewing their work and providing performance feedback.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, client proposals, and thought leadership activities.
- Leverage KPMG tax technologies and digital solutions to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Manage and review international corporate tax compliance engagements in accordance with OECD Pillar Two reporting and compliance requirements.
What you bring to the role
- Master's degree in Taxation, International Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in international corporate taxation, including advising multinational organizations on cross-border tax matters, foreign subsidiary structures, international reorganizations, and global tax compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian international corporate tax principles and cross-border tax considerations.
- Experience managing complex tax compliance and advisory engagements for multinational organizations.
- Experience with OECD Pillar Two compliance, implementation, modeling, and advisory services, or other comparable international tax frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
