Company Description Kraftgene AI Inc. is a Canadian startup developing EnergyEminence, a modular unified operating system for critical energy infrastructure, including utilities, renewables, and oil and gas pipelines. The platform connects digital insights with physical action by combining high-fidelity digital twins, immersive visualization, and autonomous robotics to address energy resilience and environmental monitoring challenges. Using predictive AI and physical AI responses, Kraftgene AI translates complex data into real-time visualizations that unify infrastructure health with environmental intelligence, such as wildfire conditions and grid performance. Its edge-deployed multi-agent architecture, built on Graph Neural Networks and Physics-Informed Learning, enables fast optimization of grid and flow physics, automated stabilization, and robotic threat mitigation with a strong safety and human oversight framework. As a portfolio company of the AWS Clean Energy Accelerator and supported by leading innovation programs, Kraftgene AI is expanding a high-caliber research and engineering team to scale autonomous energy infrastructure.
Role Description As a Co-founder and hardware-embedded engineer, you will help shape the technical direction and core architecture of Kraftgene AI’s EnergyEminence platform. In this part-time hybrid role based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility, you will design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware that interface with edge AI agents, sensors, and robotic systems. You will collaborate with software, AI, and robotics teams to integrate embedded systems into high-fidelity digital twins and real-time monitoring pipelines, ensuring robust data acquisition, low-latency control, and secure communication. Day-to-day activities include prototyping hardware interfaces, optimizing embedded code for performance and reliability, participating in system architecture decisions, and contributing to technical documentation and hardware validation processes. As a co-founder, you will also be involved in strategic planning, technical roadmap development, and representing the company in technical discussions with partners, customers, and investors.
