Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will actively contribute to daily accounting activities as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. You will prepare analyses and financial reporting for HQ, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and help maintain compliance with internal controls and procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational teams, HQ, and external advisors in a dynamic and evolving environment. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and a thorough understanding of the full accounting cycle. This is a flexible hybrid role. Being in the office two or three days a week is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Prepare, document, and review balance sheet account reconciliations, and follow up on variances and outstanding items.
Prepare consolidation packages, financial reports, and variance analyses for HQ.
Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations for variances between actual results, budget, and forecasts.
Prepare and maintain daily cash reports, perform bank reconciliations, and monitor available liquidity.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Track fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, capitalization, and reconciliation to the accounting records.
Assist with the annual budget, financial forecasts, and monitoring of expenses against approved budgets.
Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and HQ to respond to information requests and meet deadlines.
Contribute to maintaining and improving internal controls and procedures related to procurement, payments, financial reporting, and treasury, including HQ SOX requirements.
Provide accounting guidance to operational teams, promote compliance with internal policies, and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and the use of company resources.

Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA title is an asset.
At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the services or technology sector.
Solid working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting fundamentals.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, the Microsoft Office suite, and leading AI tools.
Experience with SAP and Concur is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently with reduced supervision.
Fast learner with agility and adaptability to change.
Highly organized, diligent, and able to manage time effectively with a solutions-oriented attitude.
Comfortable working in a bilingual environment (French and English).
Knowledge in the Korean language is an asset.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) Comptable Senior pour se joindre à notre équipe des finances. Relevant du directeur des finances, vous contribuerez activement aux activités comptables quotidiennes ainsi qu'aux clôtures mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles. Vous préparerez des analyses et des rapports financiers destinés au siège social, assurerez l'exactitude des comptes et veillerez au respect des contrôles et des procédures internes. Ce rôle offre l'occasion de collaborer étroitement avec les équipes opérationnelles, le siège social et les conseillers externes dans un environnement dynamique et en évolution. Ce rôle requiert une grande autonomie et une connaissance approfondie du cycle comptable complet. Il s’agit d’un rôle hybride flexible. La présence au bureau deux à trois journées par semaine constitue un atout, mais n’est pas obligatoire.

Responsabilités principales

Participer activement aux clôtures comptables mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles, incluant la préparation des écritures de journal, des provisions et des régularisations.
Préparer, documenter et réviser les rapprochements des comptes de bilan, puis assurer le suivi des écarts et des éléments en suspens.
Préparer les dossiers de consolidation, les rapports financiers et les analyses d’écarts destinés au siège social.
Analyser les résultats financiers et fournir des explications claires sur les écarts entre les résultats réels, le budget et les prévisions.
Préparer et traiter les demandes de paiement, les factures, les transactions par cartes de crédit corporatives et les remboursements de dépenses.
Préparer et mettre à jour les rapports quotidiens de trésorerie, conciliations bancaires et assurer le suivi des liquidités disponibles.
Gérer les comptes payables et les comptes recevables.
Assurer le suivi des immobilisations, incluant les acquisitions, les cessions, les transferts, la capitalisation et le rapprochement avec les registres comptables.
Participer à la préparation du budget annuel, aux prévisions financières et au suivi des dépenses par rapport aux budgets approuvés.
Collaborer avec les auditeurs externes, les conseillers fiscaux et le siège social afin de répondre aux demandes d'information et de respecter les échéanciers.
Contribuer au maintien et à l'amélioration des contrôles et des procédures internes liés aux achats, aux paiements, à l'information financière et à la trésorerie, notamment dans le cadre des exigences SOX.
Fournir des conseils comptables aux équipes opérationnelles, promouvoir le respect des politiques internes et repérer les occasions d'améliorer l'efficacité des processus et l'utilisation des ressources de l'entreprise.

Compétences et expérience requises

Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité ou en finance, le titre CPA constitue un atout.
Un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en comptabilité, préférablement dans le secteur des services ou des technologies.
Bonne connaissance pratique des normes IFRS et des principes fondamentaux de l'information financière.
Maîtrise de Microsoft Excel, de la suite Office et des principaux outils IA.
L'expérience avec SAP et Concur constitue un atout.
Grande attention aux détails et capacité démontrée à travailler de façon autonome avec peu de supervision.
Capacité d'apprendre rapidement et de s'adapter avec agilité aux changements.
Personne très organisée, rigoureuse et diligente, possédant d'excellentes aptitudes en gestion du temps et une attitude axée sur les solutions.
Aisance à travailler dans un environnement bilingue (français et anglais).
