Site: On-site – 2005 Mission Flats Road Kamloops BC

Salary range: $69,000.00 – $85,000.00

Employment type: Full-time, ongoing

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources Department at the mill by providing administrative support, effective communication, benefits administration, employee events coordination, and systems administration services. This is a highly detail-oriented role, accurate records, data integrity, and dependable follow-through will be essential for the success of the position. You will partner closely with employees, leaders, and union representatives to keep HR operations running efficiently while helping foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Admin tasks including managing and updating employee personnel files, processing invoices and documents.
Manage and create mill communications (Newsletter, Posters, Boards).
HR Systems duties including managing and updating HR systems, including benefits and pension webpages.
Participate in mill committees and support engagement initiatives.
Develop activities, and programs that promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
Event planning and execution of Mill events including, but not limited to, mill celebrations, community outreach, and employee engagement activities [*may require support outside of regular hours]
Support onboarding, offboarding, new hire reviews, check-ins and exit interview.
Support mill employees with pension and benefits questions.
Work closely with Corporate Benefits Team, coordinating benefits enrolment and changes, as well as communication with 3rd party insurance company and; or pension group.
Develop and maintain a positive partnership with union leadership to ensure sustainable business operations and results.
Develop and maintain a professional relationship with employees by ensuring a sense of confidentiality, mutual trust, concern, respect and teamwork.
Provide periodic vacation coverage for the HR Advisors.
Provide administrative support for Disability Management.
Successfully complete all other duties and assigned projects.

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks amid competing demands and interruptions.
Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presenting.
Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Friendly, positive demeanour and a professional presence.,

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

2 years of Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or related area + 2 years of experience in Human Resources or relevant area. *A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Knowledge of and experience working with pension and benefits administration.
A strong computer system aptitude and ease working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite.
Disability Management experience is considered an asset.
CPHR designation or working toward one is considered an asset.
