Title: Core Unix Operations
Location: Montreal, QC Hybrid
Position Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, including system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Shell Scripting, and Python for automation and operational tasks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across multiple infrastructure layers, including operating systems, applications, networks, and system-level components.
- Experience analyzing application logs, system logs, and network packet captures to identify root causes and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resolve production issues.
Deep Linux/Unix knowledge; Perl, Shell and Python scripting; very strong troubleshooting across infrastructure layers, including application logs and packet captures.
