Lead Business Analyst – Branch Banking & Offer Management Transformation

Experience: 15+ years of Banking / Financial Services experience

Level: Lead / Principal Business Analyst

Domain: Retail Banking / Branch Banking / Offer Management

Program: Large-scale, multi-million-dollar banking transformation

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Business Analyst with 15+ years of banking experience and a proven track record of leading business analysis for large, multi-million-dollar transformation programs involving multiple business units, technology platforms, data sources, risk/decision engines and customer-facing banking systems.

This is a high-visibility leadership role, not a traditional BA position. The candidate must be capable of independently driving a complex transformation program, working directly with senior business and technology leaders, managing competing stakeholder priorities, navigating significant leadership scrutiny, and converting ambiguous business objectives into clear, executable requirements.

Mandatory Experience

15+ years of experience in Banking / Financial Services, with significant experience in Retail and Branch Banking.

Proven experience as a Lead / Principal BA on multi-million-dollar banking transformation programs.

Strong knowledge of Branch Banking systems, processes, customer journeys and frontline/advisor workflows.

Hands-on experience with Offer Management, Next Best Offer or Next Best Action capabilities.

Experience defining how customer products, interactions, inquiries, profile data and needs are used to generate relevant offers.

Strong understanding of customer data, eligibility rules, decision engines, risk engines and AI/ML or propensity models used for real-time customer decisioning.

Experience working across a complex ecosystem of multiple upstream and downstream banking systems, APIs, data platforms and integration layers.

Demonstrated ability to perform end-to-end impact analysis across business processes, applications, integrations and data flows.

Proven ability to convert vague, incomplete and ambiguous business needs into clear, concrete and achievable requirements, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.

Strong experience driving requirements from discovery through design, development, testing, UAT, implementation and post-production stabilization.

Stakeholder & Leadership Management

The candidate must have demonstrated experience:

Working directly with senior executives, business heads, product leaders, technology executives, architects, risk, compliance, operations and delivery teams.

Leading large requirements and solution workshops involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.

Managing conflicting stakeholder priorities and driving teams toward decisions and closure.

Communicating complex business and technology issues in a concise, executive-friendly manner.

Presenting risks, dependencies, options, recommendations and decisions to senior leadership.

Operating successfully within programs receiving significant executive and leadership scrutiny.

Challenging assumptions and pushing back constructively when requirements or proposed solutions are unclear or unrealistic.

Taking end-to-end ownership and accountability rather than functioning only as a requirements/documentation BA.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Lead BA and requirements owner for the transformation program.

Drive requirements across Branch Banking, CRM, Customer 360, Offer Management, Product, Risk, Decisioning, Data and downstream platforms.

Map the complete journey from customer interaction → customer/product data → eligibility/risk/model decisioning → offer selection → real-time presentation → customer acceptance → fulfillment → outcome tracking.

Identify cross-system impacts, dependencies, risks and gaps early in the delivery lifecycle.

Translate strategic business objectives into actionable capabilities, features, requirements, user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria.

Drive alignment among Business, Product, Architecture, Data, Risk, Technology, QA and Operations.

Maintain end-to-end requirements and business outcome traceability.

Support solution design, testing, UAT, implementation and production readiness.

Proactively escalate critical risks and decisions with clear business impact and recommended options.

Act as the trusted bridge between senior business leadership and technology delivery teams.
