Original job description

Build things people remember.

At Kubik, we don’t build ordinary cabinets. We create custom environments, exhibits, retail spaces and experiences that are seen by people around the world.

If you’re a skilled Cabinetmaker or Woodworker who enjoys bringing drawings to life, solving problems and building one-of-a-kind pieces, we’d love to meet you.

Our woodshop team has an average tenure of more than 9 years, so we must be doing something right. And yes, the Wednesday donuts and Friday bagels probably help.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our production team, you’ll:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Build and assemble custom millwork and architectural components
  • Create pieces for trade show exhibits, retail environments, museums and other custom projects
  • Work with a variety of materials, tools and woodworking equipment
  • Fit, finish and prepare pieces to meet quality standards
  • Help package and prepare completed work for shipping and installation
  • Work closely with other talented people across our production team
  • Keep your workspace safe, organized and ready for the next build

What you bring

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has hands-on cabinetmaking, woodworking or millwork experience
  • Is comfortable reading drawings and working from detailed specifications
  • Takes pride in craftsmanship and getting the details right
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a busy production environment
  • Enjoys solving problems and figuring out how to build something unique
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Brings a positive, reliable and safety-focused approach to work

Experience in the exhibit, museum, retail, experiential or custom fabrication industry is an asset, but not required.

Hour of Work: our shop opens at 6:00 a.m. so there is flexibility for an earlier start.

Overtime after 44 hours from Monday to Friday

Saturday and Sunday: Double overtime

Hourly rate: $24 - $34 - final rate based on skills/experience.

Generous employee referral program so bring a friend.

This posting is for 6 new cabinetmakers as business is booming.
