Head of Growth & Marketing – Canada

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Company: Kurage – NeuroSkin®

Environment: High-Growth MedTech | Startup Mindset | Hands-On Leadership

About Kurage

Kurage is a fast-growing MedTech company transforming neurorehabilitation through its proprietary NeuroSkin® technology.

Combining Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), advanced movement analysis, and intelligent technology, NeuroSkin supports innovative rehabilitation programs for people living with neurological conditions.

As Kurage accelerates its expansion across Canada, our commercial strategy focuses on two priority therapeutic areas:

  • Stroke (AVC): Supporting rehabilitation and functional recovery through specialized neurological rehabilitation pathways.
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS): Supporting mobility, walking function, and long-term rehabilitation through personalized NeuroSkin programs.

Kurage is entering a critical scale-up phase, moving from clinical innovation toward large-scale market adoption through direct patient acquisition, clinical referrals, and an expanding network of partner clinics.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, data-driven, and hands-on Head of Growth & Marketing – Canada to build and scale our patient acquisition engine across these two priority markets.

Position Summary

The Head of Growth & Marketing will lead Kurage's growth strategy in Canada, with a primary focus on accelerating patient acquisition, improving conversion rates, and developing scalable marketing programs for Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis.

This is not a traditional corporate marketing position.

We are looking for a growth leader who combines strategic vision with the ability to execute, test new acquisition channels, optimize conversion funnels, and deliver measurable commercial results.

The successful candidate will build two differentiated growth strategies:

Stroke – Patient Acquisition & Clinical Referral Growth

Develop targeted acquisition strategies reaching stroke survivors and caregivers, while supporting referral pathways through neurologists, physiatrists, rehabilitation centers, and healthcare professionals.

Multiple Sclerosis – Patient Acquisition & Community-Based Growth

Develop acquisition strategies targeting people living with MS, supported by physiotherapists, neurologists, MS clinics, community organizations, and Kurage's partner clinic network.

The role will also establish repeatable marketing processes, growth analytics, and launch programs to accelerate Kurage's expansion across Canada.

Core Mission: Build a predictable, measurable, and scalable patient acquisition engine for Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and Execute Two Disease-Specific Growth Strategies

Build differentiated, data-driven growth strategies for Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis, reflecting the distinct needs, care pathways, and decision-making processes of each patient population.

Stroke Growth Strategy

  • Identify and segment stroke patient populations based on rehabilitation needs and stage of recovery.
  • Build dedicated patient education and conversion funnels.
  • Support referral generation through neurologists, physiatrists, stroke rehabilitation centers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop messaging focused on functional rehabilitation, walking ability, mobility, and patient independence.
  • Coordinate local acquisition campaigns with Kurage partner clinics.
  • Develop campaigns adapted to different stages of post-stroke recovery.

Multiple Sclerosis Growth Strategy

  • Build targeted acquisition campaigns for people living with MS and experiencing mobility limitations.
  • Develop educational content on FES, walking rehabilitation, and mobility support.
  • Create targeted digital acquisition and patient nurturing journeys.
  • Develop community engagement initiatives with MS organizations and patient communities.
  • Support partnerships with neurologists, MS clinics, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation providers.
  • Develop long-term engagement strategies aligned with the ongoing rehabilitation needs of people living with MS.
  • Coordinate local awareness and patient acquisition initiatives with partner clinics.

Key objective: Establish two high-performing acquisition models, each adapted to its specific clinical ecosystem and patient journey.

2. Optimize the Patient Conversion Funnel

Take ownership of marketing funnel performance, working closely with Sales and Clinical Operations to improve the conversion of qualified leads into patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Map the complete patient journey for Stroke and MS.
  • Optimize the journey from initial awareness to clinical assessment and program enrollment.
  • Develop disease-specific qualification and lead nurturing workflows.
  • Improve landing page conversion and appointment booking performance.
  • Identify and address conversion bottlenecks.
  • Implement A/B testing and continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with Sales and clinical teams to improve patient engagement and reduce drop-off.
  • Analyze conversion rates by indication, acquisition channel, geography, and partner clinic.

Key objective: Maximize the proportion of acquired leads who progress to clinical assessment and program enrollment.

3. Build Compelling Stroke and MS Market Offerings

Translate Kurage's scientific and clinical expertise into compelling, differentiated, and commercially effective rehabilitation offerings.

For each indication, develop:

  • Disease-specific market positioning
  • Patient and caregiver value propositions
  • Healthcare professional value propositions
  • Patient journey and rehabilitation pathway communication
  • Evidence-based clinical messaging
  • Health-economic value propositions in collaboration with Medical Affairs
  • Sales enablement materials
  • Digital landing pages and educational content
  • Patient testimonials and clinical case studies
  • Video content
  • Patient FAQs
  • Partner clinic launch toolkits
  • Internal training materials

Ensure that all medical and clinical claims are reviewed and validated by the appropriate internal experts.

Key objective: Create clear, trusted, evidence-based offerings that support patient understanding, clinical credibility, and commercial conversion.

4. Scale Growth Through Partner Clinics

Develop and deploy a standardized growth model across Kurage's expanding network of partner clinics.

For each clinic, coordinate:

Digital Activation

  • Local Stroke and MS campaigns
  • Dedicated landing pages
  • Geo-targeted advertising
  • Local SEO
  • Email marketing and automated patient nurturing

Field Marketing

  • MS patient education seminars
  • Physician and physiotherapist Lunch & Learn events
  • Community awareness initiatives

Performance Management

  • Track qualified leads and assessments booked.
  • Monitor conversion into NeuroSkin programs.
  • Identify high-performing clinics and campaigns.
  • Replicate successful acquisition initiatives across the network.

Key objective: Turn each partner clinic into an active, measurable patient acquisition channel.

5. Lead Growth Analytics and Commercial Performance

Establish a data-driven approach to growth, with performance visibility across Stroke and MS.

Develop dashboards tracking the following indicators:

Acquisition

  • Qualified Stroke leads per month
  • Qualified MS leads per month
  • Cost per Lead (CPL) by indication
  • Cost per Qualified Lead
