Role Description The Office Associate (Accounting) is a full-time, on-site role based in Brampton, ON. This position supports day-to-day accounting and administrative operations, including processing invoices, recording transactions, preparing basic financial reports, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role involves maintaining accurate records, reconciling statements, updating internal databases, and ensuring that documentation is organized and compliant with company policies. The Office Associate (Accounting) will collaborate closely with the accounting and operations teams, respond to vendor and client inquiries, and provide general office support such as filing, data entry, and coordinating communication between departments.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess foundational accounting and bookkeeping skills, including familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
Candidates should possess proficiency with office and accounting software, such as Microsoft Excel, word processing tools, and common accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
Candidates should possess strong organizational and administrative skills, including accurate data entry, document management, and attention to detail.
Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and clients in a professional manner.
Candidates should possess basic understanding of financial reporting concepts and the ability to assist with reconciliations and record-keeping.
Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in an office or accounting support role, ideally within transportation, logistics, or a multi-division business environment, is an asset.
Ability to work on-site in Brampton, ON, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
