Original job description

Company Description Kwikwetlem First Nation (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm) is the First Peoples of the Coquitlam Watershed in British Columbia, with continuous occupation of their ancestral lands for at least 10,000 years. The Nations’ name, meaning “Red Fish Up the River,” reflects a historic sockeye salmon run that sustained the community for thousands of years. Rooted in Coast Salish laws and protocols, Kwikwetlem First Nation upholds the responsibility to govern its territory in accordance with customary laws and traditions. The Nation’s rich culture is grounded in deep connections to the lands and waters, honoring all beings who live within, rely upon, and migrate through its territory. Applicants will join a community guided by teachings of stewardship, respect, and sovereignty derived from the Creator and deep-time histories.
