Position: Modern Applications VCF Architect

Location: Ottawa (On-Site)

Background: Kyndryl are supporting a public sector client who requires a Senior VMware Consultant (Modern Applications VCF Architect) who is highly skilled with
VCF, VKS and VMware Private AI.
The ideal candidate will be able to work with business, technical and security related stakeholders, while providing a forward thinking approach.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance with the federal government (MUST HAVE)
- Multiple recent projects with VMware VKS
- Expert level skills with VCF (modern versions)
- Ability to work on-site in Ottawa
- Must be able to keep up with an ever changing and modernizing VMware product set
- Experience working with AI Infrastructure is a must have, VMware Private AI is a nice to have
Expected Tasks:
- Design, deploy, and optimize VMware Private AI environments in secure enterprise infrastructures.
- Implement and manage VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) platforms and container orchestration solutions.
- VCF design, deployment and management with recent VMware VCF versions.
- Understanding modern microservices-based applications running on Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Lead technical workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on cloud-native best practices, containerization, and platform modernization.
- Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and government requirements within classified environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders.
