Job Type: Full-Time Contract

Level: Senior

Anticipated Start: November 2026

Initial Term: Approximately 5 months, with potential extension

About the Opportunity ISM Canada is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer based in Regina, Saskatchewan to support a business-critical application enhancement initiative.

The successful candidate will lead and contribute to the technical design, development, testing and deployment of enhancements to an established .NET application. This is a hands-on senior development role requiring strong experience with modern .NET technologies, complex business applications,

Azure DevOps and production deployments.

Preference will be given to candidates located in Regina who are available to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and development of application enhancements.
  • Review, clarify, estimate and prioritize development requirements.
  • Design and develop secure, maintainable and supportable application code.
  • Enhance existing production .NET applications while maintaining the stability of released functionality.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and application integrations.
  • Work with Entity Framework and code-first database migrations.
  • Maintain development scripts and Azure DevOps CI/CD build and release pipelines.
  • Support deployments across Development, Test, UAT, Staging and Production environments.
  • Develop, modify and validate application reporting.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and business-rule issues.
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical documentation, deployment instructions, configuration documentation and release notes.
  • Mentor developers and support knowledge transfer to internal technical teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of .NET development experience.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with:
    • C#
    • ASP.NET MVC / ASP.NET Core
    • Razor
    • SQL Server
    • Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core
    • AutoMapper
    • jQuery
    • Bootstrap
  • Experience working with current supported .NET versions; .NET 9+ preferred, with .NET 10 considered a strong asset.
  • Strong experience enhancing and supporting complex, business-critical production applications.
  • Experience with Entity Framework code-first migrations.
  • API development and maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, build and release pipelines and source control.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within tight and fixed delivery timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience producing technical and deployment documentation.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other developers.
Strong Assets

  • Telerik UI for ASP.NET development and version maintenance.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development, modification and validation.
  • Experience with financial or regulatory reporting applications.
  • Experience developing applications with complex business rules.
  • ReactJS and/or AngularJS experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or public-sector applications.
