Security Compliance Coordinator

About the Role

Performs variety of procedural and administrative tasks to create, maintain and ensure protection of company and government property and information. Tasks may support one or more of the following areas: general security administration, clearance processing, access control, asset management, data collection, and record and report maintenance. Maintain security databases, logs, files, records and generate reports. May conduct periodic inventories to verify or track assets (i.e. documents, equipment, accountable material, etc.). Supports technical and non-technical security system architecture (i.e. CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.) to include installation, maintenance and repair, monitoring, and administration.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain the administration of the Controlled Goods Program and Contract Security Program for L3Harris WESCAM.
Provide oversight and guidance on the L3Harris WESCAM Controlled Goods Program, acting in the capacity as a Designated Official.
Act as Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) for L3Harris WESCAM.
Liaison with PSPC, Controlled Goods Program and Contract Security Program to provide requested documents/information.
Process Controlled Goods security assessments for L3Harris WESCAM employees by compiling and reviewing various documents including reference checks, criminal record checks, education verification and maintain record keeping.
Facilitate and provide guidance to L3Harris WESCAM on assessments for vendors and contractors for Controlled Goods status.
Coordinate and facilitate with L3Harris WESCAM HR Managers on Temporary Worker applications, through Controlled Goods Program as well as background checks on international hires.
Work with and assist Security Compliance Associate.
Monitor and track the weekly operations and deliverables of the L3Harris WESCAM Security Department.
Process, monitor and track visitor and contractor assessment requests for L3Harris WESCAM sites.
Support Security Department FY objectives and strategic goals.
Maintain department statistics and presentations.
Develop and provide training on the Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program.

Required Capabilities

Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and specific applications such as ETAS, Super HR, HTML.
A very effective communicator, in speaking with Government, Provincial, and Military/Security officials in the capacity of Controlled Goods and Contract Security Procedures.
Sound communication skills in speaking with all levels of employees and management.
Effective trainer, in the delivery of Security Training/Briefing sessions.
Excellent administration and organizational skills.
Proficient in being well organized in day to day activities.
Quick learner of Controlled Goods and Industrial Security policies and procedures.
Must hold or be eligible to hold an Industrial Security Clearance to the level of NATO Secret.

Desired Education and Experiences

2-5+ years in Administration.
College / University Degree.
Experience dealing with all levels of employee and management in a medium to large organization.
Proven track record of being a self-starter.
Dealing with external agencies of L3Harris WESCAM; Government, Provincial, and military.
