About Labtician

Labtician Ophthalmics is a Canadian-owned pharmaceutical company focused on developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative ophthalmic products. We offer a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and supportive team culture, where employees can make a meaningful impact on the business. We offer competitive compensation, (range is $110-125,000 plus a bonus) with benefits and development opportunities.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and continuously improve our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of materials and finished goods, optimizing inventory levels, managing logistics and distribution, and supporting our growing e-commerce business.

As a key member of our team, you will develop supply chain strategies while also participating in the day-to-day execution of purchasing, inventory planning, and logistics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building efficient processes, solving operational challenges, and making a direct impact in a growing organization.

This role is hybrid with two days in office in Oakville, plus occasional days for warehouse supervision or special launches/needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and inventory to ensure a reliable supply of materials and finished goods.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to develop demand forecasts and inventory plans that balance product availability with inventory investment.
  • Manage domestic and international logistics, warehousing, freight (in and outbound), imports, and work with third-party logistics providers to manage service levels and KPIs.
  • Enable growth of our e-commerce business. Support systems and integration in addition to overseeing order fulfillment for e-commerce and other distribution channels, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Build an infrastructure and manage our omnichannel and subscription business.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve service, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations (clean room production) to support demand planning and business growth.  Ensure large national accounts are well served, delivering on account commitments.
  • Manage a small inhouse Customer Service and order support team.
  • Track key supply chain performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service levels, and scalability.
  • Drive KPI benchmarks, analytics, dashboards and ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and import/export requirements. Drive continuous improvement with all stakeholders.
  • Work hands-on with day-to-day supply chain operations in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive supply chain, purchasing, or operations experience, preferably in eye care, medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, purchasing, logistics, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience supporting e-commerce fulfillment and multi-channel distribution.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills; Power BI or similar reporting tools are an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field and a APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or a similar professional designation is an asset.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing Canadian healthcare company where your ideas and contributions will be visible. We offer a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, competitive compensation and benefits, and the exciting opportunity to build and strengthen a supply chain infrastructure.
