Tasks
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines

Responsibilities
Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and other materials for construction and millwork projects. Build and repair structural components, install windows, doors, stairs, and hardware, and operate CNC machines.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 2 years of experience. Candidates should be able to work on-site with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate manual dexterity, accuracy, organization, punctuality, and teamwork.
