Territory Manager - Industrial

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected organization in their search for a Sales Territory Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven B2B sales professional who thrives on opening doors, developing new relationships, and building a territory from the ground up. This is a true business development role with a strong emphasis on new dealer acquisition across Western Canada and the Western United States. You will identify prospective distribution partners, introduce them to the organization’s product offering, secure new accounts, and establish the relationships needed to turn those initial opportunities into long-term business. The successful candidate will have significant autonomy over a large geographic territory and will be supported by experienced leadership while developing a growing dealer network.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new dealer and distribution opportunities throughout Western Canada and the Western United States
Build a targeted prospect pipeline through research, outbound activity, networking, referrals, and direct business development
Introduce prospective dealers to the organization’s product offering and clearly communicate the value it can bring to their customers and business
Develop relationships with independent building material and contractor-focused distribution businesses
Lead prospective accounts through the sales process from initial contact through negotiation, onboarding, and initial stocking orders
Establish new dealer partnerships and create a foundation for ongoing account growth
Maintain consistent communication with prospects and newly established accounts to ensure strong engagement and continued development
Conduct regular territory travel to meet prospective dealers, present solutions, and strengthen relationships in person
Monitor market activity and identify underserved markets, potential partners, and opportunities for further territory expansion
Prepare accurate quotations and respond promptly to incoming sales opportunities within the territory
Maintain detailed CRM records and an organized pipeline of prospects, opportunities, activity, and next steps
Work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing to establish territory priorities, review pipeline activity, and execute the broader sales strategy

Requirements:

3+ years of B2B, industrial, territory, dealer, or distributor sales experience
Proven success in new business development and a demonstrated ability to consistently open new accounts
Strong prospecting skills and comfort initiating conversations with businesses that may have no prior relationship with the organization
Experience selling through independent dealers, distributors, building supply businesses, or contractor-focused channels is considered an asset
Construction industry experience is an asset, but direct experience with drainage products is not required
Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently within a large geographic territory
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with prospective business partners
Organized and disciplined approach to managing a sales pipeline, follow-up activity, and CRM information
Willingness to spend significant time travelling throughout the assigned territory
Valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
Based within reasonable proximity to a major transportation hub to support regular air travel

Rewards:
