Original job description

Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence, the Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and improving our ticket sales reporting within the Business Intelligence (BI) team and organization. They are also responsible for cross-departmental analytics projects, including event forecasting, several modeling projects, and all ad-hoc data-related requests. This position plays a crucial role within the team and organization, and requires a data-driven, revenue focused, sports and live events enthusiast.

This full-time, permanent role has an annual salary range of $50,800 to $60,900, with 100% employer-paid benefits. The final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position and offers flexibility to work either fully on-site or in a hybrid arrangement.

What you’ll do:

Be the go-to person on all Ticketmaster reporting related needs, having an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Ticketmaster.
Develop and maintain ticket sales reporting infrastructure by providing real-time game and event reporting to senior management.
Be responsible for reports such as, Event by Event analysis, product performance reports, Sales and Attendance forecasting, commission, NPS, and event specific reporting (CFL, OHL, Tenant Teams, Live Events).
Responsible for analytics projects and ad-hoc data related requests from other departments within the organization.
Track and optimize on our current reporting structure to create efficiencies and improvements in visualization and effectiveness.
Analyze data and provide report insights to help steer departmental decisions and to support key organization stakeholders with driving revenue.
Create and optimize data models within our Tech Stack to improve reporting, customer journeys, and all around efficiencies within the department, and organization.
Provide insight, collaboration, and expertise on AI and the ever-changing applications for the organization, including, but not limited to, reporting, analytics, and revenue generation.
Exchange ideas/data/feedback with other departments (Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales & Service, Digital Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Brand & Content) in order to innovate and provide insights.

What’s needed:

Post-secondary degree in math, business data analysis, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a data analysis or date reporting focused role.
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation is a must.
Experience with Ticketmaster reporting (both Archtics and Host) is a must.
Intermediate SQL knowledge is a must, while a working knowledge of Python is a positive.
Knowledge of Snowflake, Rudderstack, Braze, and Omni Analytics are positives.
A willingness to learn new tools and strategies, with a quick uptake time.
Data-driven, with a clear understanding of data, analytics, metrics, and their importance.
A good storyteller: being able to convey your findings in an effective, clear, and concise manner for all levels of staff.
Innovative and challenges the status quo.
A desire to go beneath the surface and discover and distill a problem down into a very clear set of hypotheses that can be tested. Wanting to know why data says what it does.
Pro-active and effective in managing projects and their deadlines while considering all stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written with the ability to anticipate needs before they occur.
