Lantic is currently hiring for the position of Accounting Analyst, Sugar Division at the Montreal refinery. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, Eastern Sugar Division, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the plant’s financial activities, including accounting, financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis. The Accounting Analyst works closely with the Plant Controller and operational teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and to support decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in the monthly close process by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information;
Analyze production costs and identify optimization levers to improve financial performance;
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance of the information;
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose recommendations to improve operational and financial efficiency.;
Analyze variances between forecasts and actual results, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions;
Participate in the development of the annual budget in collaboration with the various departments, providing an accurate and realistic view of financial requirements;
Produce financial forecasts and medium-term projections to anticipate needs and support strategic decision-making;
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures to ensure compliance and secure financial processes;
Participate in internal and external audits by providing the requested information and by ensuring the follow-up of recommendations;
Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and the quality of the information provides, guaranteeing the reliability of data for management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance, management control or accounting; experience working in a public company or a manufacturing company is considered an asset;
Advanced proficiency in Excel and IT tools for producing financial reporting and data analysis;
Professional proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written, in order to communicate with our French- and English-speaking sites;
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various hierarchical levels, both in production and administrative environments;
Rigor and respect for deadlines to support organizational financial timelines;
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, autonomy, and strong organizational abilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Currently hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

SOMMAIRE DU POSTE :

Lantic recrute actuellement pour le poste d’analyste, comptabilité, division sucre à la raffinerie de Montréal. Relevant de la directrice, comptabilité, sucre division est, le/la titulaire du poste est responsable de soutenir les activités financières de l’usine, incluant la comptabilité, la planification financière, les prévisions et l’analyse de la performance. L’analyste, comptabilité, collabore étroitement avec la contrôleuse d’usine et les équipes opérationnelles afin d’assurer l’exactitude des données financières et d’appuyer la prise de décision.

RESPONSABILITÉS :

Participer à la clôture mensuelle des comptes en veillant à l’exactitude et à la fiabilité des informations financières ;
Analyser les coûts de production et identifier les leviers d’optimisation pour améliorer la performance financière ;
Produire les reportings financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels destinés à la direction et aux parties prenantes internes, en veillant à la clarté et à la pertinence des informations ;
Suivre les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) et proposer des recommandations pour améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle et financière ;
Analyser les écarts entre les prévisions et les résultats, identifier les causes et proposer des actions correctives ;
Participer à l’élaboration du budget annuel en collaboration avec les différentes directions, en apportant une vision précise et réaliste des besoins financiers ;
Réaliser des prévisions financières (forecasts) et des projections à moyen terme afin d’anticiper les besoins et soutenir la prise de décision stratégique ;
Contribuer à la mise en place et au suivi des procédures de contrôle interne pour garantir la conformité et la sécurisation des processus financiers ;
Participer aux audits internes et externes en fournissant les informations demandées et en assurant le suivi des recommandations ;
Veiller au respect des délais de reporting et à la qualité des informations communiquées, en garantissant la fiabilité des données pour la direction.

QUALIFICATIONS ET EXPÉRIENCES PROFESSIONNELLES REQUISES :

3 à 5 ans d’expérience pertinente dans le domaine de la finance, du contrôle de gestion ou de la comptabilité ; Expérience de travail dans une entreprise publique ou manufacturière est considérée comme un atout ;
Maîtrise avancée d’Excel et des outils informatique pour la production de reportings et de l’analyse de données ;
Maîtrise professionnelle de l’anglais et du français, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit afin de pouvoir communiquer avec nos sites francophones et anglophones ;
Capacité à travailler en équipe et à communiquer avec différents paliers hiérarchiques, autant au niveau de la production qu’au niveau administratif ;
Rigueur et respect des délais afin de supporter les échéanciers financiers organisationnels ;
Forte capacité d’analyse et de synthèse, autonomie et sens de l’organisation.
