Original job description

About the Job: Solutions Architects at LaunchDarkly are the core of our elite Professional Services organization, helping customers decouple deploy from release to enable rapid, reliable, and safe software delivery. As a key member of the Revenue team, you will apply your technical expertise to guide customers through transformative implementations of LaunchDarkly, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their journey. In this role, you will lead strategic engagements with our customers and partners, helping them accelerate software development and adopt modern release practices that reduce risk and improve velocity. You’ll educate teams on how to maximize the value of LaunchDarkly, championing best practices that foster long-term success and excitement for building great software. LaunchDarkly’s Services team is recognized as best-in-class among our peers. We are rapidly growing, deeply invested in, and central to the company’s strategic vision. You’ll be part of a high-impact organization that’s redefining software delivery at some of the world’s most innovative companies, spanning industries like Technology, Finance & Insurance, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences, and Entertainment. As a Solutions Architect, you won’t just implement a product. You’ll drive organizational change. You'll work closely with engineering and DevOps leaders to establish centers of excellence and embed modern release strategies that unlock true software agility. This is a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact, grow your career, and be part of a team at the forefront of Release Excellence. Responsibilities: Leverage deep technical expertise and a consultative approach to understand customer needs, gather detailed requirements, and influence key decisions that drive successful outcomes. Lead Professional Services engagements designed to optimize our clients’ software delivery processes, aligning their strategies with industry best practices for improved efficiency and innovation. Provide guidance on software development best practices, advising customers on how to harness LaunchDarkly to accelerate software delivery while minimizing risk and enhancing quality. Foster a robust technical partnership between LaunchDarkly and its customers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing value across all touchpoints. Identify and resolve technical obstacles that hinder value realization, enabling customers to achieve their objectives more effectively. Establish yourself as a subject matter expert on LaunchDarkly, continuously evolving your knowledge to stay ahead of industry trends. Act as a key advocate for customers, synthesizing and conveying their feedback to Product and Engineering teams, driving the development of solutions that support both customer success and company objectives. About You: You are a self‐starter and excited to take on hard problems. You are passionate about helping customers and have a strong sense of ownership. You can effectively communicate with experts from different backgrounds, and build strong stakeholder relationships. You have a technical background and are interested in a customer-facing role. You are a deeply curious individual, who is not comfortable with just getting enough context to give an answer. You feel the need to understand how things work underneath. Qualifications: You have 5+ years of experience in enterprise software. You have a hands-on technical background with a consultative approach. You are an expert in implementing the full software development lifecycle with multiple years of experience in an enterprise environment. You are experienced developing in at least one of our supported languages: Java, .NET, Go, JS, Python, PHP, NodeJS, Ruby, Rails, iOS, or Android. You are able to guide customers and teammates in implementation of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery practices. You have delivered on teams through development process transformation. You learn and synthesize large amounts of information and are adept at acquiring the context you need to make prescriptive recommendations to our customers. You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, but the discipline and focus to know where you attention is most needed. Experience with experimentation and mobile. You have served as a consultant for customers in the past You have performed in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity Experience with LaunchDarkly or other feature management platforms. You have worked with the services of one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). You have worked with Linux, Containers, and Virtual Machines. About LaunchDarkly: Modern software delivery was supposed to be the foundation for a thriving digital business but reality has proven otherwise. Slow, inefficient development cycles, costly outages, and fragmented customer experiences are preventing developers from building their best software. The LaunchDarkly platform helps developers innovate on new features faster while protecting them with a safety valve to instantly rewind when things go wrong. Developers can target product experiences to any customer segment and maximize the business impact of every feature. And by gradually rolling out new application components, they escape nightmare "big-bang" technology migrations. The LaunchDarkly platform was built to guide engineers to the next frontier of DevOps by: Improving the velocity and stability of software releases, without the fear of end customer outages Delivering targeted experiences by easily personalizing features to customer cohorts Maximizing the business impact of every feature through the ability to experiment and optimize Coordinating the release and optimization of software to provide consistent experiences across mobile platforms and device types Improving the effectiveness and productivity of engineering teams, by providing insights into engineering cadence and stability At LaunchDarkly, we believe in the power of teams. We're building a team that is humble, open, collaborative, respectful and kind. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
