Senior Systems Engineer | Edge Integration & Sensor Fusion
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Salary: CAD $130,000 - $200,000
Work Authorization: Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
I'm working with an innovative AI company developing intelligent infrastructure and transportation technologies, with products already deployed across international markets.
Their technology combines cameras, LiDAR, and advanced sensor processing to detect, track, and analyze real-world traffic activity in real time.
They're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer who enjoys working across the full technology stack, from C++ development and edge computing to hardware integration, networking, and real-world product deployments.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong hands-on C++ programming experience, ideally developing software for embedded or edge computing systems.
- Solid networking knowledge, including IP networking, device connectivity, communication protocols, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with signal processing, embedded systems, or distributed sensor/IoT environments.
Bonus Experience:
- Linux-based development and deployment.
- Elixir or Go programming experience.
- LiDAR, cameras, computer vision, or sensor fusion.
- Docker, remote device monitoring, or IoT fleet management.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing and optimizing C++ software running on Linux-based edge devices.
- Integrating sensors, hardware, networking, and software into complete working systems.
- Building new features and improving the reliability and performance of deployed products.
- Troubleshooting device connectivity and supporting real-world customer deployments.
- Working alongside a small, highly technical engineering team with ownership across the entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Develop and optimize C++ software for Linux-based edge devices, integrating sensors, hardware, networking, and software into complete systems. Improve deployed products and troubleshoot connectivity while supporting customer deployments across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
