As a Rotary Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you take pride in delivering safe, reliable aircraft maintenance while supporting critical operations in some of Canada's most unique and challenging environments.

Summit Helicopters provides remote helicopter aviation solutions across Western and Northern Canada and operates one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry. Our experienced team supports a wide range of operations, delivering safe, dependable, and innovative aviation services to our clients.

We are seeking a motivated Rotary AME to join our team. Whether you bring experience on the EC135 or have a strong rotary-wing maintenance background on other platforms, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a company that values safety, teamwork, and continuous development.

This is a rotational position with fly-in/fly-out travel to and from our bases in Kamloops, Terrace, and Squamish, BC.

Essential Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components
Perform all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness
Ensure all paperwork for assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submission
Ensure all maintenance installations meet the standards of airworthiness
Troubleshoot faulty systems to determine a course of rectification
Travel with an aircraft and apprentice / mechanic when assigned away from base for an extended period of time, as required
Assist with sheet metal / avionics repairs as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' hands-on line maintenance experience on rotary-wing aircraft.
Current Transport Canada M1/M2 AME Licence.
EC135 experience is preferred; however, experienced AS350 engineers are strongly encouraged to apply. Summit Aviation is willing to provide EC135 training for the right candidate with a strong maintenance background.
Experience on the EC135, AS350, or Bell 407 is considered an asset.
Aircraft type endorsements are preferred but not required. Training and development opportunities may be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with strong observational, decision-making, and time management abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work Conditions

This position will be based out of Kamloops, BC with travel to other bases or field work as required.

Responsibilities
