The Opportunity

As Product & Procurement Manager, you will own how our products are set up, sourced, and supplied, from SKU creation and supplier selection through container arrival and inventory control. You’ll connect sales, engineering, project management, logistics, finance, and our suppliers, and make sure every product we buy meets our standards for quality, cost, and timing.

This role involves daily communication with our vendors and factories in Asia. Because of time zone differences, you’ll sometimes need to follow up on messages and calls after regular business hours to keep orders and shipments on track.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Product SKU Creation & Management: Create, structure, and maintain product SKUs, specifications, and product data in our ERP, keeping the catalog accurate and up to date
  • Sample & Material Request Coordination: Manage sample and material requests from sales, engineering, and clients, from supplier request through delivery and follow-up
  • Custom Shop Drawing Management: Coordinate custom shop drawings with engineering and suppliers, manage revisions and approvals, and confirm that production matches the approved drawings

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Supplier Research & Selection: Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on capability, quality, pricing, lead times, and reliability
  • Contract Negotiation & Procurement: Negotiate pricing, terms, MOQs, lead times, and supplier agreements to secure the best overall value
  • Purchase Orders & Order Tracking: Issue and manage purchase orders for stock and project-specific materials, and track every order from production through delivery
  • Container Shipment Management: Plan and coordinate container shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, and track arrivals and landed costs, including duties and tariffs
  • Inventory Control & Optimization: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and balance product availability with cash flow and carrying costs

Quality & Compliance

  • Quality Control Oversight: Oversee quality inspections and testing before shipment and on arrival, and drive corrective actions with suppliers when issues come up
  • Supplier Audits: Plan and conduct supplier audits covering production capability, quality systems, and process compliance
  • Vendor Compliance Management: Make sure suppliers meet LEDPAX Technology requirements, contractual terms, and certification standards (UL/cUL, ETL, DLC, etc.), and keep compliance documentation current

Communication & Coordination

  • Internal Communication & Reporting: Report regularly on order status, lead times, inventory, costs, and supplier performance to management and stakeholders
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, estimating, engineering, project management, logistics, and finance so that product supply stays aligned with project and business needs
  • Problem Resolution & Issue Escalation: Resolve delays, shortages, defects, and supplier disputes quickly, and escalate critical issues with clear options and recommendations
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Keep accurate, organized records of POs, contracts, specifications, shop drawings, shipments, and supplier communications, and contribute to SOPs and process improvements as LEDPAX Technology scales

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, product management, or supply chain (lighting, electrical, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Proven experience sourcing from and managing overseas suppliers, including container imports (Asia experience a strong asset)
  • Technical understanding of LED lighting products and specifications, and the ability to read shop drawings
  • Knowledge of import/export, customs, and cross-border (Canada/US) logistics
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills
  • Experience with quality control, supplier audits, or vendor compliance programs
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo a plus) and advanced Excel
  • Excellent organization and documentation habits
  • Bilingual (English/French) a plus

Who You Are

  • A confident negotiator who can hold the line with suppliers while keeping relationships strong
  • Detail-oriented: you notice when a spec, a drawing, a lead time, or a price doesn’t add up
  • Proactive about raising issues early, with solutions ready
  • Flexible and responsive: comfortable handling occasional after-hours messages and calls with overseas vendors and factories
  • A team player who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Excited about technology, innovation, and modern lighting solutions
