The Role

The Pricing Specialist – Canada supports pricing decisions and execution across Retail, E-Commerce and Trade customers. The role analyzes commercial opportunities, recommends pricing that supports sales growth and margin objectives, and maintains accurate customer and product pricing.

Working with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Product Management and Marketing, the Pricing Specialist prepares bid and promotional analysis, monitors competitive pricing, and helps improve pricing processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Analysis & Commercial Support

Evaluate pricing opportunities using product mix, channel, customer needs, expected volume, competitive position and financial return at both line and total-opportunity level.
Review requests from Sales and recommend pricing based on contribution margin, commercial value and applicable approval requirements.
Prepare pricing and profitability analysis for major customer opportunities, tenders, bids and projects.
Analyze product and customer profitability, price realization and margin trends; identify opportunities to improve commercial returns.
Cross-reference competitive products and identify suitable LEDVANCE alternatives for Sales.
Support pricing for Retail, E-Commerce and Trade channels, including customer agreements, promotional programs and channel-specific pricing considerations.
Conduct competitive pricing analysis and recommend changes that maintain market relevance and support profitable growth. Support new product launches by developing and validating market-appropriate prices before products are introduced. Develop targeted promotional pricing with Sales and Marketing to support product launches, inventory initiatives and incremental sales.

Pricing Governance & Execution

Maintain and review customer-specific prices, stock prices, promotional prices and special pricing agreement (SPA) or rebate structures; identify ways to simplify customer purchasing.
Ensure approved prices are implemented accurately, with appropriate documentation, effective dates and customer conditions.
Work with Finance and Sales Operations to investigate pricing discrepancies, margin issues and pricing-related deductions or claims.
Monitor pricing results and produce clear reports on price realization, margin performance and key market trends.
Improve pricing processes, reporting and system controls; train commercial colleagues on pricing tools and approval procedures.

Key Individual Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field.

Professional Experience

3–5 years of experience in pricing, sales operations, commercial finance, revenue management or a related analytical role.
Experience in lighting, electrical distribution, consumer products, Retail or E-Commerce is an asset.

Technical Skills

Strong financial and commercial acumen, including margin analysis and pricing scenario modelling.
Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, large datasets and pricing models.
Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is an asset.

Competencies

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
Ability to explain pricing and financial analysis clearly to Sales and management.
Collaborative approach and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

Relocation assistance and employment sponsorship are not available for this position.
Compensation: CAD $80,000–$100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
The position is located in Mississauga, ON and has a minimum of 2 in-office days per week.
