Original job description

About Legend

At Legend, we're building next-level player experiences. With 20+ years of proven success we’re the world's leading Sports and Gaming marketing company.

Our people are our edge. 600+ sharp, ambitious Legends across 22+ countries who move fast, learn quickly and win together. Here growth isn’t a perk, it’s the standard. You’ll stretch, level-up and carve out a career as bold as the products we build. We celebrate wins and create experiences that people talk about for years - for our players & for each other. If you’re ready to shape the future of player experience and enjoy the ride while you do it, this is where you’ll thrive.

The Role

Legend is hiring a Senior Data Analyst, reporting directly into our Head of Data and Insights.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst who wants to do more than answer questions with data. You’ll sit at the heart of our Sports business, partnering with teams across Product, Commercial, Marketing and SEO to uncover opportunities, challenge thinking and influence the decisions that drive performance.

You’ll be joining at an exciting point of transformation. With new products, evolving business models and a growing ambition for how we use data across Sports, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next phase of our analytics capability and how data is used to drive decision-making across the business.

From building smarter forecasting models and transforming how we measure performance, to exploring customer behaviour and laying the foundations for future personalisation, you’ll own complex analytical challenges from problem through to recommendation. This is a hands-on senior role with real visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make data a genuine driver of commercial and product strategy.

In this role, we value diverse perspectives and encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed.

\nYour Impact:

Deliver end-to-end analytical projects that help shape commercial, product and marketing decisions across our Sports portfolio.
Build advanced forecasting models that combine financial planning, historical performance, seasonality and sporting events to improve business forecasting.
Redesign and enhance our Tableau dashboard suite, providing stakeholders with faster, more actionable performance insights.
Improve the quality and accessibility of data by identifying gaps, optimising reporting and partnering with Data Engineering to strengthen data pipelines.
Apply statistical analysis, behavioural analytics and experimentation to uncover opportunities that drive revenue, conversion and long-term business growth.
Mentor team members while proactively identifying future analytical opportunities that help mature our Performance & Insights function.

What You'll Bring:

Expert-level SQL alongside strong Python (preferred) or R, Tableau and statistical analysis skills.
Proven experience independently delivering end-to-end analytical projects from scoping through to implementation.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Commercial mindset with experience using data to influence business strategy and decision-making.
Experience mentoring or supporting team members while driving high standards across analytical delivery.
Experience within sports betting, iGaming or another digital business with strong web analytics exposure is highly desirable.

The Interview Process:

1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)

2nd: Interview with our team, Hiring Manager and Senior People Partner (1 hour video via Zoom)

3rd: Take home task - you will be given a task to complete and return to us for assessment

4th: Final interview with our team, Hiring Manager and Sports Stakeholder (1 hour video via Zoom)

Why Legend?

Super smart colleagues to work alongside and learn from.
Engaging development opportunities at all levels.
Tailored flexibility for your work-life balance.
Annual discretionary bonus to reward your efforts.
Paid annual leave PLUS a well-deserved break to recharge your batteries during the festive season! Our offices are closed between Christmas and New Year's, allowing you to enjoy downtime without dipping into your annual allowance.
Exciting global Legend events, where we unite in person to ignite our shared passion and unveil the exciting strategies for the year ahead!

Unlock your full potential by joining the Legend team. To support you on this journey, we provide an extensive array of benefits and perks, as outlined in our global offerings above. For country specific benefits please reach out to your talent partner.

Legend is an Equal Opportunity Employer, but that’s just the start. We believe different perspectives help us grow and achieve more. That’s why we’re dedicated to hiring and developing the most talented and diverse team- which includes individuals with different backgrounds, abilities, identities and experiences. If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout your application process, please speak to your Talent Partner or contact the team on talent@l1.com, and we'll do all we can to support you.
