Original job description

We’re a creative consultancy. That means we put creativity at the center of all our thinking-be it strategic consulting, design and advertising or product and service design. If you believe in the power of creativity to transform how people think and behave, you’re in the right place.

Overview

You’ll do well in this role if you’re someone who wants to learn quickly and be given room to grow. You’re responsible and self-directed, but you don’t confuse independence with having all the answers. If something isn’t clear, you ask.

You care about the quality of the work, not just getting it out the door. You appreciate creativity, enjoy working with creative people and want to understand the strategic thinking behind the work.

Most importantly, you bring good judgement, curiosity and maturity. You can walk into a room with people more senior than you, know your material, communicate your point of view clearly and professionally, and be equally comfortable listening and learning.

We’re looking for an Account Supervisor who is curious, ambitious, and eager to grow.

This is an opportunity to work on some of Canada’s most iconic brands and a wide range of strategic and creative challenges. You’ll work closely with experienced leaders across Account Management, Strategy, Creative and Production, while being trusted to take ownership of your own projects and increasingly lead the work.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to execute what’s in front of them. You want to learn the business, understand why we’re doing the work, apply what you learn and get better with every assignment.

You’re comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can move quickly. You know when to move independently and when to ask the right questions. You bring confidence, clarity and professionalism to the way you work with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years of agency account management experience.
  • Strong understanding of the creative development and production process, including experience across channels such as TV/video, OOH, digital and social.
  • A genuine interest in great creative work, with an instinct for what makes an idea strong and a desire to help make the work better.
  • Curiosity and a strong appetite to learn, absorb feedback and apply those learnings quickly.
  • The judgement to work independently while knowing when to ask questions, clarify ambiguity, and seek input.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, budgets and stakeholders without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • A strategic mindset. You’re interested in understanding the business problem behind the assignment.
  • You take ownership, follow through, and can be trusted with the details.
  • A collaborative and respectful working style, with the ability to build strong relationships across different disciplines and personalities.
  • The ability to stay composed, resourceful and solutions-oriented when things move quickly or plans change.
  • Initiative. You see what needs to happen next and help move the work forward.

Qualifications

  • Strategic and creative collaboration with internal teams including Creative, Planning and Production.
  • Lead secondary elements of campaign deliverables independently with selective oversight of senior account lead.
  • Brand/product knowledge champion (product features/pricing/ benefits/competitive advantage).
  • Champion agency understanding of competitive landscape, competitive ad reviews, program assessments & marketplace trends, news and reports.
  • Collaborate with Creative Team; ensure adherence to strategy and client/brand standards as well as feedback.
  • Lead weekly status meetings (internally and with client).
  • Develop and deliver tactical briefs and post reports.
  • Creative production collaboration w/integration partners.
  • Guide and oversee assigned project budgets.
