Original job description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 12 days per month on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON. Fully remote work is not permitted.

Key Tasks

Lead project planning, execution and delivery across multiple workstreams
Develop, maintain and evolve integrated project plans, schedules and delivery roadmaps
Coordinate activities across policy, business, operations and technology teams
Work closely with the IT Program Lead throughout technology planning, solution selection, implementation and transition to operational support
Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and interdependencies
Develop project reporting, performance indicators and escalation mechanisms
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership
Provide regular project status updates and communicate progress, risks and delivery considerations
Facilitate workshops, meetings and discussions to drive consensus and resolve issues
Ensure project deliverables, documentation and processes are completed
Support go-live readiness and implementation handoffs
Perform other related project management activities as required

Key Qualifications

10+ years of experience contributing to large, complex, multi-year projects involving 40+ project team members
PMP certification with 4+ years of recent project management experience supporting complex business and technology initiatives
5+ years of experience delivering strategic projects using Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies

Qualifications

University degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Analysis or a related discipline
Strong experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies and interdependencies
Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated project plans, schedules and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior leadership and technical audiences
Proven experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder meetings
Experience supporting or participating in Microsoft Azure technology implementation projects
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and based in Canada
Must be eligible to obtain Reliability Status
Must be available to work onsite in Ottawa 12 days per month

Compensation
