IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY

Interim Vice President, Claims

Duration: anticipated 6 Months

Location: Greater Toronto Area (Hybrid)

Our mid-sized insurance client is seeking an Interim Vice President, Claims to assist them through a critical period of transition.The prime responsibilities of the Interim VP are to provide day-to-day oversight of the Claims department, work with the business to support growth initiatives and continue to support process improvement and automation projects. The Interim VP will look at the department from an organizational and skills perspective, evaluate the processes for effectiveness and efficiency and provide insight and recommendations for the improvement of the function.

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Claims function.
• Act as an escalation point for coverage analysis and settlement.
• Evaluate the existing department structure and team and make recommendations for a future state team.
• Keep all in-flight projects moving
• Assist the Chief Operations Officer with keeping the Senior Leadership Team informed on progress and issues.

Competencies and Requirements:

• Prior experience running an insurance claims operation.
• Demonstrated experience working as a business partner in all areas of the organization.
• Very hands-on – willing and able to “roll up the sleeves”
• Demonstrated experience driving changes (people, process, system) to support growth.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized teams.
