Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for assuring that supplies, medical equipment, and mail are retrieved and distributed within a site adhering to scheduled timelines.

Status: Temporary Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:45am - 16:15pm
Additional Requirements: Position involves, receiving deliveries, picking/ packing supplies and use of company vehicle to deliver out to PSC's in Saskatoon. Must have a valid class 5 driver license with clean drivers abstract.

Contract End Date: 7 May, 2027

Key Accountabilities:

Transportation of supplies and mail within a designated site adhering to scheduled timelines.
Transportation of medical/surgical equipment, case carts and other equipment as necessary.
Collection of supplies, instruments, etc. from the designated site and disposing in an appropriate way.
Responsible for lifting and moving of heavy items up to 40 lbs. (70%)
First point of contact with health region employees as it relates to site specific changes impacting schedules of Walkers and Couriers and escalates issues to management as required. (10%)
First point of contact for site Porter issue resolution and escalates issues to Manager as required. (10%)
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment. (10%)

Required: Grade 10 (preferred Grade 12)

Key Contacts:

Logistics Supervisor – Regular interaction with the supervisor. Escalates any issues/problems to the Supervisor.
Hospital Staff – Regular daily interaction providing customer service to all departments within the hospital
