Original job description

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

As a Conversion Optimization Manager, Growth, you’ll own the conversion rate optimization strategy for Lightspeed’s marketing websites, treating our digital experience as a product. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop and test hypotheses, and implement data-driven improvements that enhance the user experience and drive conversion across the customer journey.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Growth Marketing, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who thinks strategically and is proactive in delivering performance insights.

Location: Lightspeed is seeking candidates based in the Montreal, Quebec, or Toronto, Ontario regions. This role follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Duration: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension or transition to a permanent, full-time position in the future.

What you’ll be doing:

Own, develop, and execute a testing strategy to improve website conversion rates.
Analyze website performance to identify variables that influence conversion and prioritize opportunities with the greatest potential impact.
Manage the testing backlog and coordinate tasks across design, development, and content teams to support the execution of experiments.
Proactively build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and drive the A/B testing roadmap.
Partner with data analysts to identify meaningful performance metrics, measure experiment outcomes, and develop user-friendly reports.
Serve as the subject matter expert on website user behavior, helping stakeholders understand and accurately interpret experiment results.

What you need to bring:

A proven track record of owning and executing website conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives.
Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation tools, with a strong preference for Wingify (VWO); experience with Optimizely is an asset.
A strong understanding of CRO fundamentals, statistics, and probability.
Advanced proficiency in GA4, Looker, and Looker Studio, with the ability to independently build and interpret standard reports.
Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Experience designing and running website experiments on high-traffic domains.
The ability to clearly communicate experiment objectives, insights, and results to non-technical audiences.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience working in a B2B environment.
Experience managing or optimizing websites across multiple region

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re unsure that you have the right profile for the role... hit the ‘Apply’ button and give it a try!

You’ll enjoy:

A flexible work environment that empowers you to do your best work
A culture that celebrates performance
The chance to make an impact in a team that’s big enough for career growth, but lean enough to make your voice heard
Career-defining opportunities

Plus benefits designed to keep you happy, healthy and fulfilled.

Flexible paid time off and remote work policies
Equity options, because this is your company too
Contributions to your pension plan. Your future matters
Training opportunities to grow your skills and career
Health and wellness credit so you feel your best
Time off to volunteer and give back to your community
Interest groups, employee led networks, social committees to sponsored sports teams
Computer purchase program to get your personal Macbook
Enhanced parental leave to support growing families

Fuel your growth. Find your people.

At Lightspeed, your growth is our priority. We invest in you with continuous learning opportunities, global mobility and benefits designed to support you - all within a driven, diverse and inclusive team that’s passionate about empowering our communities

To all recruitment agencies: Lightspeed does not accept unsolicited agency resumes. If we have not directly engaged your company in writing to supply candidates for a specific vacancy, Lightspeed will not be responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
